This movie brings back sweet and innocent childhood memories.

This is an extraordinary movie. This movie brings back childhood memories in many people childhood. It doesn't matter what race you are, I think many people can relate to this movie. When I was young, like Ralphie, I craved a particular toy at Christmas that I wanted very badly. In Ralphie's case, it is the Red Ryder Rifle. I wanted an Easy Bake oven which could bake little cakes and cookies. Mom, on the other hand, was afraid that I would get burned or accidentally set the house on fire. No debate of safety would change mom's mind. When the teacher asked us to write about what we wanted for Christmas, like Ralphie, I wrote about the one thing I really wanted, and had no real chance of getting - the Easy Bake oven. I did not get a bad grade, but she did note it. Her exact words were, "Quite a gift. Please be careful, those things are dangerous." Attached was a Fire Drill pamphlet. Needless to say, the Easy Bake oven was history, never got one. This is definitely a good movie to watch when you want to drift back in memory to the 'Good old days' when Christmas had true meaning. The generation today have swayed very far from its meaning. Children get gifts and toys every day, so, when Christmas come around, to many, it's just another day. Give me the good old Christmas or the 'Ralphie' kind of Christmas any time.

Elvis...What more can a girl ask for?

Elvis doing what he does best in his movies...romancing, singing and fighting. Mary Tyler Moore delivers her character role as perfect as an angel. Barbara McNair defines black beauty in an angelic kind of way. Jane Elliot (although I love her acting skills), is a bit humorous to be convincing as a nun, and a now, more publicized A Martinez was totally unnoticed in this movie. All-in-all, this is a good Elvis movie for all Elvis fans. I'll look at one of his movies just to see him and hear him sing anytime, good or bad. Hey, it's Elvis.

One of the greatest romantic comedies I've had the pleasure of watching.

Robert Redford and Jane Fonda are both outstanding actors and compensate each other very nicely in this romantic comedy. This movie has all the quality ingredients needed to make it a classic comedy. Redford, as usual, displays great talent enhanced by the school-girl charisma of Jane Fonda. I love it.
