My Unorthodox Life (2021)
Fake and sad...This show destroyed her life!
First of all I lived in Hudson Yards for the past 8 years and Julia's apartment isn't inTribeca it's actually One Hudson Yards located on 30th street. It's a rental building. I know this because my apartment on 29th Street faced her building.
Secondly this whole show is staged. There's nothing real about it everything they're doing and saying is for rating and money from Netflix.
Third the trashiness is too much. It's too extreme which makes me believe it's all staged.
I really feel sorry for Julia because once you agree to enter the entertainment world it's like you've sold your soul to the devil it's most likely part of the reason she got a divorce and why her husband filed for divorce.
It's all a shame. I wish them well.
The Empress (2022)
The British dub actors did a fantastic job!
I'm usually disappointed with dubbed over shows. I recently watched "Dark" a German show, with some of the same actors in this show, dubbed over by American actors and they did a terrible job which tends to take from the show. But these British dubover actors did a really fantastic job in every single scene. An incredible job! I was very impressed and never distracted from the story as a result, it was as if these German actors were really speaking English. Also I have to agree with some of the Austrian people commenting here I've been to the Schoenbrunn Palace and the place used in this show didn't resemble it.
Partner Track (2022)
Loved this show! Except for cringy gay scenes.
I previously worked at two of the biggest NYC firms in M&A as back in '07 and 08. And this seemed to transport me back to the walls of Cadwalder Wickersham and Taft. Had the show been strictly about Mergers & Acquisitions it would have put the general audience to sleep so I welcomed to nice twist of drama. I loved the main character! She's a beautiful and talented actress so I'm not sure why people are saying otherwise. Loved the portrayal of the none stereotypical Asian characters. Hated the unnecessary gay scenes. Why can't we just have a show about straight people anymore. It's as if we are being forced to watch men kiss and have sex when it's completely unnecessary. Also the racism and sexism was a bit over the top. At these firms people are pretty classy and not so obvious in their displays of these sort of behaviors especially after 6 years of being at the firm. In my experience the racism seems to be more like white lawyer has minority on a deal and says I just don't think he/she's getting it so they remove the minority and replace them with a white guy. That seemed to happen a lot at Cadwalder. Also there was a good amount of elitist condescending behavior among the newer lawyers and in my personal experience, severe sexual harassment towards me, that ultimately got me transferred to a new unit then out the door which is the main reason why I left.
Good Girls (2018)
OMG! Loved it!
I loved the dynamic between Beth & Rio. It actually got my menopausal juices flowing! Woozers!
Luchshe, chem lyudi (2018)
Lead Actor looks like Tim Roth
I like this show but they should've selected better actors to do the dubbing. And the lead actor is A dead ringer for Tim Roth.
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
Rami from a fellow actor! You got my vote!
You did a phenomenal job congratulations you got my vote for the Screen Actors Guild Award! You will win the Oscar this year! When I saw your performance I didn't even want to bother looking at the other films that were up for the awards because you're performance was perfection!
Mary Poppins Returns (2018)
I loved this film
I don't understand all the bad reviews. I was a child when the original movie came out so I vaguely remember it. But I think this film was done well. It had a good story and the songs all delivered a message. I think Emily Blunt is a very fine actress, singer & dancer. That's more than you can say for the majority of the actresses today. Everyone did a fantastic job in my opinion. I was especially surprised to see Dick Van Dyke dancing at 93 years old! I also loved the dance sequence with with the men on the lanterns it was like watching a live theater production. And for the person who said there was too much singing it was a musical moron!!
If Beale Street Could Talk (2018)
Wow!
This movie was amazing! It was refreshing to see your true love story. I also love the way it told the story of a generation of lost men and shattered families at the hands of institutionalized racism. And how I generation of single mothers came to exist in America. Well written, well acted and beautifully shot.
Destroyer (2018)
This movie sucked!
First of all the story was convoluted when it didn't have to be. Secondly Nicole Kidman's aged character was way over-the-top and lacked any real substance and because of this her character distracted the viewer from the actual story being told. I've experienced more interesting stories in an episode of Law & Order SVU. In addition the person who did the make up for Nicole needed to be slapped in the face because it was so bad. There wasn't a need for her to wear that stupid wig and talk with that stupid Clint Eastwood vigilante accident. I spent most of this movie laughing at The stupidity or hoping it would end soon. In addition I am aware this film was shot in LA but there was no need to include so many car following scenes it was a waste of film in my opinion.
Westworld (2016)
Stop using guest writers!
I hate when really good shows begin to unravel into confusion under guest writers!
Succession (2018)
Amazing!
Phenomenal Acting by the cast! I absolutely love the realness of this show! Previously worked in a Wall Street Corporate Law Firm and you guys have nailed it!
Episode 1 - Killer scene between Jeremy Strong & Rob Yang! Loved it!
