Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024)
INTENSE AND EXCITING
This movie was really good had intense action and really visually stunning. That's all I can say, but I'm not going to Just say all that. First thing I can say is the visuals this color palette of The mad Max franchise is so weird but good in a weird way like I have to get used to it just like I had to get used to the other Mad Max movie with Tom Hardy. Performances was really good, especially Chris Hemsworth. He was a scene stealer and he was a little bit intimidating and goofy at times, but they kind of matched his character a little bit. The story was all that last movie, but this movie is based around vengeance and had a little side plot with Chris Hemsworth character and him trying to get gas resources everything he need from the other characters. Ana Taylor Joy was not in the movie that much even though it was her movie because all I kept thinking about was Chris Hemsworth but she was really really good as well. The action was that I did not get bored move the action or the ambush or anything else was going on this movie I was in it for the full ride, and I can say about it, but I kinda get what they was going for it was the topic of vengeance and how they try to blend in with the other mad Max movie, but overall this was really good and I would love Rewatch this when it comes on streaming 8.5/10.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024)
GOOD BUT NOT AS GOOD AS ALL 3 MOVIES IN THE LAST TRILOGY
Before going into this movie, I had one expectation please be better than Or as good as the trilogy that came before, unfortunately it was really good to me, but it wasn't better than either of the movies from the trilogy. The story is post Cesar and when I say its post Caesar, that means it kind of revolves around that, There are sides in this movie that are centered around Caesar, like the good ones where there is one character that side with humanity and apes together the other side is just with apes. They are very conflicted with humans and the other side that is the bad side, which is trying to overcome and take over the human race and make them slaves basically the opposite of what Caesar was trying to do, The main character in this movie is Noah and he's really good, but he's not Caesar because Cesar had a strong belief in goals when he came to the trilogy. Noah was a good character, but he was one-sided. Caesar was trying to make peace with both sides and that's what make him strong and plus he's a really good leader, the visuals in this movie was really good. Thank God Disney did not make this movie bad, The actors was really good, The actors was really good, especially the side character that had experience with Cesar in the last trilogy as well. He was funny and really good. The only thing I can say bad about this movie was that it was long not really long as in three hours, but I can kind of feel the runtime and it was paced weird but other than that, this was a really good movie not better than rise, dawn or war, but it was really good to me 8/10.
The Fall Guy (2024)
THE FALL GUY
The fall guy was a fun action comedy that really did not take itself that much serious. That's all I can say but breaking it down. Imma start with the little negatives. I thought the movie was paced really weird. It felt too much fun meaning that the fun was so long that I wanted to get to the interesting stuff like the romance, the chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. Those type of stuff was very entertaining plus the little bit action scenes. The story was OK it didn't really take itself that much seriously like I said, it felt like a romcom more than an action comedy but it still has some fun parts in it. Performance was pretty good , Emily blunt and Ryan Gosling like I said it was the best I like this scene (spoilers) where Emily Blunt is shooting this one scene for her movie called metal storm and they want to shoot the scene where Ryan Gosling is on fire and he gets blown up in his wall. The reason that I love that scene is because she's doing that on purpose she's describing the scene Ryan Gosling describing the scene to Ryan Gosling, where he's supposed to feel the character how the characters feeling Emily Blunt is, expressing her feelings and Ryan Gosling pay for his actions, she keeps shooting the scene where he's hitting the wall, basically a jab at him for basically not being in her life, and the exposition and the dialogue of the scene was really done really well. I really like that scene. The movie was a little bit slow and had twist and turns a little bit like the famous actor was hiding a murder that he did and putting it on Ryan Gosling's character I thought that was OK but the main thing I really want this movie to be this movie to feel was the two characters of Emily, Blunt, and Ryan Gosling I wish we could've saw how they grew up or how they even got together. It kinda a little bit forced us to invested in the relationship instead of making us feel and see them grow as two characters in love, but the chemistry is what kind of denies that because they were very good in this movie. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to go to the movies and this was a fun ride 7/10.
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (2024)
VERY DECENT AND KINDA OF FUNNY
This was a fair decent action movie and also I did not know that it was a true story, i'm not familiar with Guy Ritchie, but I've seen most of his films and I think he was trying to go more into the Inglourious Basterds type route, but I wanted him to do his own thing like he does in his other films. But I went into this blind and I gotta say I had a really good time with this movie. The action in this movie was very entertaining in the guy who plays the reacher on the TV show with the spotlight for the action. He's so big but so fast with that goddamn knife. Henry Cavill was a very good character. Basically, the characters in this movie are all bad and all has something against the Nazis a personal vendetta against the Nazis and mission that is unattended, And kept secret is a very dangerous mission, but they must do it in order to the administration in office or to be sent in jail, Do the first act he got me hooked on his mission and it goals through the second act it kinda slow for me, but the third ramp it up as we kept having a change of plans, that's when I knew that this was going to be a really cool fun action movie. Cavill is a very talented actor in this role. He's very goddamn funny this wasn't like Inglourious Basterds masterpiece in my opinion, but this was a very decent action movie. 7.5/10.
Monkey Man (2024)
MONKEY MANNNNNN!!!!
This movie was a hard hitting film that I did not expect at all. The cinematography was beautiful. Every single shot is represented in this movie very well. This is a story about self discovery through this man who is trying to discover himself basically while also trying to avenge his mother's death there's a lot of deep mythology in this movie that I really like that is paid off at the end of the movie. The acting was really good especially the main character in the side villains. This movie is a little funny and also action-packed, but not as action-packed as John Wick especially in this third act where there in a club and some of the side characters comes in and helps fight a lot of bad guys and it was directed very well but there is only one problem with this movie and that's is the use of shaky cam, it's to the point where I can't see some of the action in this movie which is kinda disappointing but overall this was a well-made movie and I'm glad Jordan peel green lit this as a theatrical release because it deserves it 8/10.
Dune: Part Two (2024)
2024 movie of the year so far
I would personally like to say that in 2024 this is movie of the year. I don't know what other movie can top this movie aside from planet of the apes, but other than that this was a joy to watch but to let people know that this is definitely a sequel. There are some parts that you might be confused on so if you have not watched part one, please do before going into this, now this picks up right where it left off like five minutes ago where in the first dune Paul is traveling with the Freeman alongside her mother, and they are trying to apprehend the Harkenns. Throughout this movie, you can see a transformation in Paul in the downfall of Paul at the same time he is trying to lead the Freman to Paradise, but he keeps seeing visions if he tries or even attempts to lead them to paradise the performances in this movie is really good and the first one I thought Timothy Chalamet was kind of a little weak but in this, he has a lot to work with and it's done very well. I have not read the book so I am confused on Florence Pugh character but other than that I was in with the story just like the first one every performance is really good, especially Javier Bardem, and Austin Butler, who really steals the show this is a visual masterpiece. Every single shot is so well done keep having these change of color pallets and it don't feel like a green screen or nothing and feels like you're into this world. Zendaya was pretty cool and really fits the character. Well sometimes I'd be questioning her acting but it's OK because in this she was really good, and this is actually a deeper dive into its theme and it's theme of religion. Is religion a manipulative tool or is religion the right way to go that's how I viewed the movie on its theme. Javier Bardem and represents the manipulative tool and Zendaya is the opposite and the final battle between Austin Butler's character and Timothée Chalamet character was so intense, and to be honest, I didn't know which one to root forwork, for, i was trying to rule for Timothée Chalamet's character, but I realize that he is now mixed in and following the visions that he don't want to follow in Austin Butler's character was so entertaining to watch that I really want to see more of him but overall this was a fantastic movie and tell me that they're going to kill Timothée Chalamet's character in part three because I want to see some real good consequences since these visions are now explored and well executed and in my humble opinion, this is my movie year 9.5/10.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)
Godzilla x Kong
These Godzilla and King Kong movies always get a mixed reaction out of me, on the one hand of this movie feels like a quick monster movie that you can watch with anybody, on the other hand this felt like a wasted potential regarding the premise of this movie and for my recent watching of Godzilla minus one. Imma a just be a mixed bag with this movie. The visuals are actually pretty nice and pretty dope to look at especially when you look at the monsters there are some scenes with Kong that feels like you can see the CGI but on the other hand on Godzilla, and on the other monkeys, it actually looks pretty damn cool, one thing that actually irritated me was the human plot line, now you can do humans really well just like Godzilla mine is one, but in this movie kind of feels generic there's always a group of people that kinda don't make sense to be around except for the little girl and the mother, other than that there are other people that don't have no personal motivations especially The funny one, and the one character that fixed Kong tooth they don't have real motivations or real personal goals that they want to achieve and that's another waste of potential in my opinion the villain scar king, he was pretty cool, but I feel like it's a little step down because in Godzilla versus King Kong they're actually cool personal motivations regarding the corporation of mega Godzilla and why they want to replace Godzilla but scar king in my opinion does not have any personal motivation or no point of view that we as an audience can look through, The certain story elements was kind of intriguing like Kong and the underworld. I forgot what name they called it, but that was wasted potential to me because they could've went somewhere with Kong being alone and being the only one, but it's revealed that he's not the only one he has to deal with trying to become king and another thing that kind of bother me was Godzilla. The reason Godzilla bother me was because we barely got to see Godzilla and Godzilla and King Kong movie. In my opinion. Godzilla was the highlight of the show because he was jumping body, slamming and doing all sorts of stuff king Kong was cool but you have to be equal if their characters names in the title Overall, this is a mixed reaction. It was not bad, it's not kind of good but it's just not to the point where made as in a bad movie but as mid as in action just to pass the time, but this movie was not bad at all 6.5/10.
The Machinist (2004)
WELL DONE FILM
This movie was a well paced, well thought out script of a character who is haunted by his own guilt that he couldn't even remember it was his guilt first off I would like to say Christian Bale did really good performance one of his best performances of all time. This is definitely a character study of a man with insomnia, identity crisis, paranoia and flat out craziness going through his mind the character who played Ivan felt very menacing, and felt very convincing of the fact that he wasn't even real in this movie. When I first clicked on this movie, I was confused on how this was a mystery. I knew this was a thriller, and it looks like a thriller, but I was very confused on how this was a mystery, but I like that this is a mystery of a characters mind and a characters, guilt on why he's acting how he's acting this could happen to anyone this could happen to me you, the person next-door, the person, you care for and anybody. Overall, this was a real made film. I tried to avoid this film for some reason because it didn't look very interesting to me, but once I watched it, this was very intriguing, and more of a character study than a plot movie 9/10.
There Will Be Blood (2007)
POSSIBLY THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF ALL TIME
This in my opinion is possibly the best performance from any actor, the talent that Daniel day Lewis brings to the table in this movie is so powerful and so memorable that other than heath ledgers Joker, and some other candidates, I don't know which can top this performance. The movie itself is a character study of one Daniel Plainview, who is a oil man and wants to get rich as possible to basically sum it up, we go through his mental state the way, he sees the world the way and he'll do anything to achieve what he's really looking for in the path that he goes down and the rivalry of Daniel Plainview, and Eli/Paul Sunday. The performance by Paul Dano was really really good but did not match the performance of Daniel Day Lewis. This film was all about greed, lust, pride and a man so destined to get what he wants that he will stop at nothing to hurt, manipulate or even kill someone. The only time we see him really happy is with the fake brother in which he sum it up perfectly that you don't like most people, and the only person that wants to succeed is himself not anybody else, the cinematography is really good, the tension of the music was really good and the pacing felt well as it should be this is possibly up there with my favorite villain protagonist movies of all time. 10/10.
The Truman Show (1998)
SATISFYING AND FUNNY
The Truman show was a satisfying, entertaining funny in a well paced movie, makes you think about the insides of Hollywood makes you think even about real life or even if it's real or if everything is just a fake Jim Carrey gave a really good performance in this morning with a mix of really good acting and comedy altogether, this concept this should've been very hard to do but the writers, the Director, and everybody that worked on this film knew how to go all the way with its theme, with its tone and its characters. I believe that everybody that participated in the Truman show is a villain, except for the audiences and Truman himself what kind of world would you allow a baby to grow up to be an adult and watch that for 24 hours straight just for entertainment now to be honest, at least the person in the creator of the show wasn't doing much bad to Truman, but it's still awful to think about. He's basically a slave for entertainment. This was real produced and well-made and the only thing I can say about this movie that if I had to nitpick, is the fact that during the third act when Truman escapes everybody starts coming out and I wonder What if Truman was really there? How would he react? He would definitely know now feel like it could've been a cool way to put it instead of having everybody look for him but other than that this wa a really good movie the ending is always touching that is really earned of the character in Truman 9.5/10.
No Country for Old Men (2007)
MY MASTERPIECE
This movie in my opinion is the definition of underrated simply put a story. That's kind of basic, but doesn't feel that way because the execution is delightful. First off the performances are really really top-notch especially Javier Bardem. He is such a psychopath. He is such a creature that you don't even want to look at or think about, Anton might possibly One of the best villains of all time, because he don't have to have no make up no superpowers no tape or anything the only thing that you see is this man's hair, because this man's hair does not fit him at all, but it feels right, because His character does not feel like he's a part of this earth, Josh Brolin put in a Very neat performance, and the same goes with Tommy Lee Jones and I love the fact that this movie does not have no soundtrack the only soundtrack is nature(wind). Each scene is tension after tension after tension because this film does not have no brakes each character especially Javier. Bardem character has a motive that's more relatable incense if you were a hitman, this is definitely a rewatch film to me because in my opinion, there's nothing wrong or no flaws in this movie except for some pacing issues but that's just for someone to nitpick Overall a masterpiece in my opinion, and something that filmmakers Directors and writer should learn from this film. This was a very neat movie. 9/10.
The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
THE MOST ENTERTAINING BIOPICS I HAVE EVER SEEN
This is probably the most entertaining biopics that I have ever seen. I can't believe Leonardo DiCaprio got robbed from this movie in the Oscars, because this was probably his best performance of all time. This movie gives us a point of view of A man who is money obsessed and also finding an illegal way to get that money it also gives us deeper inside of Jordan Belford's relationship with his wife, which I thought was the most entertaining part in the movie as well. Jonah Hills performance is probably his best performance of all time. If you don't count, the jumpstreet movies, and the direction of Martin Scorsese feels more modern and feels more alive and with heart, Margot Robbie is another performance stealer because of one ,her good looks and two her acting in this movie was so refreshing, And I don't know that much about the Wall Street business, but from the looks of it, it looks very dangerous, and feels untrustworthy to the point where you have to really pay close attention to what you say and to who you're talking to. The way that he tears his own life apart is so entertaining, not entertaining in a way that I don't feel bad for him, but in a way that the first second and third act felt like a roller coaster and the way he goes about his life overall, this was a stellar performance by Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, and Margot Robbie and in my humble opinion, one of Martin Scorsese's best films 9/10.
Prisoners (2013)
A VERY GOOD UNCOMFORTABLE MOVIE
This movie was an uncomfortable movie, and I like that a mystery to where one of our characters daughters is going missing in one of the other characters which is a cop has to find that's basically the premise of this whole, and yet is one of the directors best movies first of all the performances of this movie is top-notch, the best performance of the movie movie actually Hugh Jackman, which gives off a anti-hero vibe but the stuff is doing so brutal is so illegal, but we still side with him in some ways, Jake Jalal's character is that one character with all about the law, but see-through the events of this movie the see through the people who caused this, each character in each performance in this movie is top-notch makes you feel for every single character in this movie, especially the person who is blamed for the movie give us a little hands on who did it and when it revealed that the old lady did it. It makes a lot of sense coming from the background she had with her own children and how it affect her to take children. Also, we don't talk about in this movie is the fact of the character traits of both Jake Gyllenhaal character and Hugh Jackman character Jake Gyllenhaal Character see him is what we all have to know about him it's Thanksgiving, He's all alone at a restaurant, but when he gets that phone call, he'll stop at nothing to do. The job is probably the best character in this something that no parent should go through. The term that I will kill for my children or I'll do anything to make my children safe. It's all represented And Hugh Jackman character. Overall, this movie is highly skilled and I highly recommend this film to anyone who loves dark movies and gritty movies 9/10.
Joker (2019)
ONE OF THE BEST CBM OF ALL TIME
In my humble opinion, this is probably the top 10, book movie of all time in the top three DC movies of all time because This is what The DCEU needed. More character driven stories to be honest, more elsewhere or not a movie that's connected with the main universe type movie because this right here to me is a masterpiece. This is definitely a different interpretation of the Joker because if you look back, this was supposed to be Jared Leto's joker having a standalone film, but that did not work because first the carrier did not have any compelling things that he can do on his own plus DC was trying to catch up with the MCU Since the NCU was popular made a lot of money and people wouldn't stop talking about it but on this movie, this felt like a DC movie plus very inspired by Martin Scorseses King of comedy and taxi driver, but featuring the joker the reason that this my top 10 comic book movies of all time and possibly top three or top two DC movies of all time is because it's character driven and make a sympathize on the insanity and the crazy personality of the Joker because this is a good evil movie meaning that this is another protagonist movie which I like movie We are placed in a point of view of how Gotham is tearing apart itself, and how Gotham is tearing apart our own characters, and the core reason why this movie works for me because the stuff that he doing we should not be on his side throughout this whole movie he's killing he's murdering His own "parent" He's killing without remorse, but we don't turn on him. We still are on his side because the people around him are making him be this way. The people around him is making him have the right to kill them because Treat him badly and how It represents Gotham on a daily basis, and that right there is something DC needs to learn to understand their characters. And the performance by Phoenix isn't no heath ledger, but it's up there with the best performances in comic book history overall, this movie is what dc is all about, and the dark Knight, and the Batman, where is not trying to be like like other comic movies, or like the MCU, it is its own thing, more darker, more gritty, more deeper characters, and more deeper movies 10/10.
Nightcrawler (2014)
WILD MOVIE
This movie was a breath fresh air for me Because most movies, nowadays are not really character driven but more based on plot and this movie is straight up character driven and I really like that. This movie follows Lou Boom basically trying to get out in the world and make a difference for himself, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his goals even though that's the basic premise any villain protagonist movie but in this one it focus more on his insanity like the joker American psycho, and even misery. The reason I love this movie is because of the character of Lou Bloom and Jake Gyllenhaal performance. The thing I love about Lou Bloom is that He does not feel like a human being. Mostly feels like an alien that just came to earth, there's a YouTuber named Vile eye that explains this real well look at his video for more of lou bloom, but this movie fell like this could happen in real life even though it can, it feels like you can just see this person walking by and you get involved with them. Your life is screwed for example, the side character I forgot his name but he was just a homeless guy trying to get himself back up, but he has rules, so does the room, but those rules are in conflict with each other but now since Lou Bloom is desperately wanting to achieve his ultimate goal, he sacrifices his own employee The store his business, because he did not want his only employee to get involved or mess up his whole business, Plus, the fact that everything that Louis doing on the news and the stuff he's doing to get clips to the news is very illegal makes it cherry on top for me because as you can see in one scene where there's a breaking robbery in the robber killed that person in the house he does not care for the person who gets killed in the house he still records and he still is doing his job to lift up his personal game overall, this movie is actually in my top 10 movies of all time And I highly recommend it 9.5/10.
Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)
REALLY GOOD
This was a really good Spider-Man film people overheat this movie because of the McGuffin that Tony Stark gives Spider-Man and yes, they did feel very forest, awkward but it's sets our character into having responsibility as a superhero this is a fun movie, and he feels like a comedy superhero indie film. Mysterio is really good in the promotion for this movie feel like he's going to have grand steaks with introducing the elementals, but the fact that Mysterio speaking people with advanced technology, and making people se that Mysterio is the hero of the story was really really good. The suits was very good the action movie with good. Every character was funny and to meet us had a lot of weight because coming off of endgame you had high expectations for this movie and it succeeded There's a lot of twist and turns that no one expected from this movie Mysterio's whole motivation is fame and relevancy and I thought that was a good change for a very cool villain and like in no way home the only problem that I had was that Peter was not active and then he became active throughout the story but here in this movie peter is active all the way through the movie, his choices is pushing the story and that was really good. Overall a really good movie, and I wish phase 4 kept the same approach, but it did not 8.5/10.
Suicide Squad (2016)
THE WORST CBM I HAVE EVER SEEN
In my humble opinion, this is possibly the worst comic book movie of all time. Yes, there is Batman and Robin. Yes there is cat woman and yes, they're super man quest for peace and yes, the amazing Spider-Man 2 but this is on another level. I think the main core of the problem is that this does not have one person's point of view. These are all different characters with different abilities with different backstories in different motivations. They all don't have the same origin nor came from the same place. They are all different and I think they should've had one person's point of view to where we can see the characters in one characters eyes that is the main character. Secondly, the whole plot is a mess and it feels like it wants to gaslight you It tells you one thing and then tells you another the villain in this movie is straight up forced awkward, and possibly one of the worst villain in comic book history. The only entertaining characters are dead shot, Harley Quinn, and boomerang, and I think boomerang is the best character because he has an actual character arc nobody else do. Jared Leto as joker could've had some potential, but the writer and Director did not give him the full potential and I think the worst thing about this movie is that it is not have no emotional weight in these characters that one scene with Viola Davis sitting down and introducing these characters is what probably messed up the whole movie, we keep getting little mini trailers for characters instead of actually showing us who they are but shows what they are. Overall in my opinion this is the worst comic book movie ever made and I really wish I could've had a Directors cut 1/10.
Justice League (2017)
JOSSTICE LEAGUE
This did not feel like the justice league in the comics and how we know them, this built like a porn movie featuring the justice league and directed by a person who does not understand these characters in, now seeing Zack Snyder's Justice league, I don't know what Joss Whedon was thinking. He wanted to make more like the avengers films with a lot of jokes, and not taking everything serious, but the reason avengers works is because it was built up, we already known these characters and had one objective brought the whole movie in a clear goal what we're trying to achieve in josstice league we have one objective, but it has no sense in meaning, the mother boxes, We don't even know what they do or have any compelling connection to our villain. It just seems like Steppenwolf wants his mother very badly and the heroes are very jokey and does not take it still very seriously except for maybe Aquaman or maybe cyborg but the other characters are making jokes, Batman is making jokes, superman is making jokes, wonder woman making jokes, flash is supposed to be the comic relief, character by feels forced and dull. Plus, the third act is god-awful. It feels like no one being harmed, except with his little family, but we don't have any connection or no interest in them, and Superman comes in very forced feels like a cameo in which he had some decent screen time, but still felt force Overall, this was very disappointing and felt like Joss Whedon does not understand these characters 1.5/10.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
WASTED POTENTIAL
This is definitely a homework movie. This does not feel like a sequel to Doctor Strange. This is definitely a sequel to WandaVision. If you haven't watched WandaVision, then you will not get why Wanda is a villain. To start off there is kind of some good CGI, and some horror element of Sam Raimi that is very good, but other than that this is one of the wasted potential in phase 4. To start off Wanda is a yo-yo villain meaning that the writers keep switching her from the irredeemable villain to a sympathetic villain in between scene she killed a bunch of people and then stops while she's pushing towards her main objective and try to make a sympathize with her, which is kind of wrong because you just kill like thousands of people, another problem that I have is that Doctor Strange does not shine in his own movie he does not have no character arc that feels earned, nor feels like it's interesting, America Chavez is very boring and feels like a MacGuffin character. The illuminati is very waste. It feels very disrespectful to the characters we love, they basically killed all the male heroes just to have us some female fights, and will also bought me is that there is no multi-verse in this movie. There is other universities, but it's not explored like the title says, the title says multi-verse of madness, not the journey of the multi-verse, overall, it just feels wasted and the villain and the main character is wasted as well 6/10.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)
THE MAIN PROTAGONIST
I think with this movie there is one big core problem in this movie I won't give you the stuff that kind of work Angela Bassett performance and character works so well. The music in the first scene of the movie were very heartfelt and very well done for Chadwick Boseman passing. Namor is a OK villain but not a good villain he's very decent. And people are doing a real good job but the core problem in my opinion about this movie is the main protagonist shuri, the reason I have a problem with shuri it's because she's the main protagonist and she's the main protagonist and she is passive not active, a passive character is where the story is pushing the character but a active protagonist is the one who is pushing the story and that is what a protagonist should be, pushing the story. Let me explain, so basically, her motivation is a tragic passing of her brother, and some vibranium is on the loose to a underwater world and that underwater world is declaring war to wakanda and the us ( i believe) in my problem is that the main character just feels like she's along for the ride instead of her, having a character flaw that set up the story also what bugs me is that there is a cameo (SPOILERS) that the main character drinks the purple juice, that the first black panther did to their dead love one and throughout the story, Angela Bassett character died in the main character want to see the character of Angela Bassett but instead she sees Killmonger and gives her some advice to go out with a vengeance on namor and my problem is that why is this not in the first act that would've put the story in motion because she's more weaker and not a noble queen and also her character trait is that she is a very smart girl we do not see none of her smartness or her intelligence come to play in this movie That would've said her motivation and her making the vibranium more meaningful and impactful, so that you can see the movie in motion for me she's the one that caused the story of happened and not that the story caring the main character and one thing I want to address is that the character of iron heart is very annoying. It felt like a definition of the
M-she-u, she does not have no character arc no interesting arc and no compelling story arc in her character overall, I do think this is wasted potential, but this is probably one of the better movies in phase 4. 6/10.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
DEFINITELY A SEQUEL
What a great sequel that's all I can say that this is definitely a sequel. This is definitely a movie that you have to watch the first one to know what's going on in the second one and I think the book was like that too so throughout the movie, the first act started out with a clear mission from the first movie to get to Modor, Also, there's another plot line with aragorn and the rest of his friends that might play out in the third movie as well but the main thing that I really like about this movie is the third act usually third acts begin with a little slow burn and then build up to a final battle this third act in my opinion starts with the battle and finishes with the battle. And this movie is called the two towers which I can't really see the other tower but that's fine because I was fully entertained. This definitely works as a sequel. Usually I like movies to work as their own movie and a sequel but this definitely works as a sequel that you have to watch the first one to get this. The best character in this movie is a Aragorn and gollum and gollum steals to sing for me because he's so twisted and crazy that is very entertaining overall battles are straight up entertaining, the characters were the same as the first one and overall I can't wait for the finale not better than the first one in my opinion but really damn good 9/10.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
A decent marvel movie
This movie was pretty good until the third act, throughout the first and second act. They gave us an interesting premise on a kid who was sent to kill someone, but decided not to, and decided not to follow his father's footsteps. Also abandoning his sister while doing so it's very interesting. Villain is actually pretty good and the action scenes was the one that shined the most in here the Jackie Chan, and Bruce Lee chorography fights was really really good and I was like OK This was one of the best movies in phase 4 but then we get to be third act and I thought the third act was getting strong. The Mandarin vs Shang Chi was just going to have a one on one fight to resolve the conflict and that would've been a better third act for me, but then here comes a CGI dragon and then sucks out the main villain soul, and then Shang Chi wins the battle. I was actually really disappointed because wonder woman and Wolverine has that same problem but overall pretty solid movie 7/10.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
The best mcu movie of all time
This by far is the best MCU in one of the best comic book movies all the time this was set up, so perfectly one of my top five favorite movie of all time the thing that shines the most is Thanos, and the movie made it clear that this was going to be his movie the motivations are very understandable, but also quite evil. All except for some side characters are all utilized and fought with their full potential and cliffhanger at the end was so unexpected and so good that I couldn't wait for part two overall, this is the definition of a fun movie done right while still taking it seriously and still while making a good movie CGI was great to okay. Bruce floating head was very very noticeable Thanos's body was literally like you couldn't notice it, overall this was actually an excellent movie each act from 1st to 3rd was all entertaining and very important to the overall MCU, and with all these characters I'm glad that the writers of the film did not make each character feel like a little pothole. Devils in the movie be utilized every single character today for advantage, and that was really good. 10/10.
Whiplash (2014)
In my top 5 movies of all time
This is on my top five movies of all time. This has a lot of great stuff that I don't even think that this is a flawed movie that has no flaws in my opinion first off every single aspect of this movie music is phenomenal damien chazelle prove that he can make really good music and soundtracks in his movies. Miles Teller's character is really well structured. Well you can never give up and not in the way that is forced or try to be unlikable to others. Teller's character has a great theme , shows that you can give it your all for your full potential also the best performance in this movie is jk Simmons movie this is one of my favorite villains of all time for me without even trying to kill everybody or take over the world prove that he can act like a boss and the reason that I think this is a perfect movie because of ending Miles Teller's and jk Simmons characters finale that is straight up phenomenal and it was so perfect that I got a bitch here window screen, turn black, an excellent movie 10/10.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
EXCELLENT. JUST EXCELLENT
This is my first time, watching a lord of the rings movie and oh my god what a breath of fresh air this movie got me hooked from beginning to end. I really like a lot of stuff so let's get into it. First I really like how the characters were not a mess or all just feel like they are trying to take the spotlight from one another they all have there own motivation that try to prove themselves and also tried the prove that they are worthy of a good fight, in this movie, Frodo, Sam, Aragorn, are honorable mentions for the best character in his movie but by far the best character in the movie in my opinion is Gandolf he does show that he can give us some tension on what's to come, when I first watched the movie I thought the beginning was going to be boring. Give us some useless information and just drag it out but no it gives us important information on whats to come and what's the come throughout the whole trilogy I can't wait to see what going to happen in these movies because I am into this adventure. I really like this first movie 10/10.
