Once Is Enough (2020)
Funny, inspirational, engrossing
I loved this movie. It pulled me in and made me want to do something similar, without ever making it seem too easy. It was heartwarming and made me feel the pain and motivation of the main character. He is very funny, by the way, and I'd love to see him live once this damn coronavirus is behind us.
I would have liked to have heard a little more about how he steadily increased his mileage, but it would probably have detracted from the flow of the story.
Goliath (2016)
Season 1 was good; what the heck happened with Season 2?
I mean seriously, Season 2 is ridiculous. A leading mayoral candidate flirts with a drunkard old enough to be her father? A kid's dad gets gunned down right before he's going to testify- and no one seems to think that's suspicious and - if anything - proves the kid is innocent? And don't get me started on the amputations: sounds like a rejected premise for a Bond movie villain. (I read another review mentioning a quadruple amputee laughing, and thought of the knight in "Monty Python's Holy Grail.") Very disappointing.
