Bake Off: Crème de la Crème (2016)
Hosts are Annoying
Whoever wrote the scripts for the hosts should be relieved of duty. Their antics ruined the show for me and they were utterly unnecessary and very annoying. They acted like children. Stupid games throwing food, disappearing game. Every so often they called themselves judges, but the 2 who actually commented to contestants about flavor were more interesting to watch.
Would have rather watched the judges.
If you are going to make a show using professionals, perhaps make sure they are skilled at most of these skills.
Also, did you guys have a chef so these tasks to make sure they were actually doable?
Drunk History (2013)
Best History show on tv
Seriously educational and funny. My favorite ones have African American narrators. My absolute favorite is the Alcatraz story acted out by native Americans.
You forget it is just one voice speaking, the acting is so good. I wish I could see how they are doing the voice syncing.
Can't believe Comedy Central didn't renew for a 7th season over their stupid cartoons. This is one of the most original shows on their network. I've watched every episode numerous times. The show never gets old. Tried watching UK version, but it sucked. No visible host and boring stories we all know. But the US 1 is a total 10/10.
Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration (2022)
TOO MANY comics with too little time
There are some really good comedians in this mix, but they barely had time for a set. I feel it would have been better if they had more time for a more developed set. Felt like a series of one liners, many which weren't that great. Or hits against Chapelle which is petty since he has apologized and tried explain his views but heaven forbid someone else has a different view and difficulty understanding something different from what their norm. As for Bill Burr, he does hate comedy is is against any minority group, so again, why waste your breath.
There were some comedians that used their time with excellence. I did finish the show, smiled at some parts laughed at others.
Black Adam (2022)
LAZY WRITING & overhyped reviews
Seriously, what is wrong with people who are rating this movie? It was basically a B movie with real actors. It blows my mind at how people rate better acted and written movies on Netflix much harsher than this regurgitated super-hero storyline. Are they overly picky because those are free?
It's a shame that A multi-billion dollar film company can't hire a better class of writer instead using a cookie cutter film pattern. They act as if they know the audience is stupid and will happy fill their brains with garbage. They had a decent premise. This COULD have been a great movie, it's like they were too lazy to try. And based on all the IMBD rating, they were right, a large part of their audience will inject whatever superhero movie is dumped in front of them.
Do yourself a favor. Wait until it's released on Blu-ray to see this movie. It had a few good points, but overall was a disappointment (which is saying a lot, as I wasn't expecting much after watching previews and it STILL disappointed. )
