Saw X (2023)
I've seen more...and thought more
I don't mean to bash on this franchise but this one didn't make me feel how others who have rated this film a 10/10. I'm in the 6's. The kills were.... well kinda weak. I feel like I've seen greater! Now I will add this. Towards the end (SPOILER) when she has her head poking out of the trap for air.... they should have ended it with a pair of two blades that cross motion, chopping her head off and having the blades be as a X then end scene. But they didn't. Can't tell me it isn't a bad idea. Kinda shocked as this director has worked on cobweb which had much more of a twist IMO. Felt like it needed more! I'm sorry...I just think it does.
Talk to Me (2022)
I love / need more Danny & Michael
First and foremost, I have been a fan of your YouTube channel for quite some time! I needed to say that!
Anyway...to the movie!
Once I heard this was created and the trailer came out, I was stoked. Not many can come out with a horror movie being your first movie and nail it! The creativity and the unfolding of how you wanted it to work got me hooked. I got to watch the interview of how some scenes became to be from your vision and it got me to fully understand on how you creative minds are brilliant! I respected on how you went with one direction of filming it vs the other and got to see what worked. I movie I recommend to all those who haven't. I know i've heard they want to go for more on other supernatural movies and i'm all for it. I want that as many can't get them to be what we want as fans. So, to Danny and Michael. I know you CAN!
Gran Turismo (2023)
fun & worth the watch
This movie was added to my list and I enjoyed on how it was. Many are saying it's too long of a movie...honestly I not once was taking my eyes off the screen.
Pros: I thought that they brought the actors to the racing fast which didn't make it a long drawn out boring movie. They knew you wanted to see the cars on the track and racing. It's what you want to see in such a movie like this. I thought this movie is a perfect family type to see. I was drawn to how they made the main character that the story is based on in the movie showing his relationship with his family and such. As well how he became apart of that racing scene / world.
Cons: The only personal thing that got me to go they could have done better was the FPV drone footage. Now, that can be done two ways and i'm only saying this because I love the capturing side of movie making. One, they actually shot scenes with FPV drones and camera handler wasn't stable. Two, it's done digitally and they couldn't make it look smooth. It was at a moment or two done sloppy. I said it, I'm sorry.
Conclusion: The film was entertaining and got me to be invested in the story. I enjoyed and will recommend to others. Enjoy.
Malum (2023)
Interesting by far but not seen what others are saying...here's why...
So I've never heard of this director or anything he's made. By reviews I see others are saying he basically recreated "Last Shift". Haven't seen that movie, seen the title but not the movie. From watching this movie I got invested by how it was created. Very different for how they played on the past with the present. Some scenes did seem to be eh for acting but overall was not bad. The back and forth(ness) they do later closer to the end made me seem to question wtf is going on. Then as I got to see more and more I figured it out but to me it was too much foreshadowing. For others to see this movie I don't think I'll say don't watch. It grabbed me as it's something different. At least for me. Not bad, just not the greatest. A cult movie which I don't usually see much off and the things they do. To me different. I instantly thought of Charles Manson though by how the cult sings. Horror movies are a hard genre to really grasp people and I think it was a likeable movie for something different.
