Hulk (2003)
Worst "Marvel" movie I've ever seen....
I really don't know what the director and producer were thinking when they created this movie..... First--the hulk looked terrible....he was completely fake....looking like Shrek on steroids. I don't know what went wrong in ILM, but they did a horrible job with their main character. Second--cheesy lines filled the entire script.... I know the hulk always says "You're making me angry....you don't like me when i'm angry.." but that line is so cheesy i wanted to cry.... Third--Just the overall story was bad....how is it that the hulk can jump for ten miles in a single bound?? He leaps in about ten jumps from the deserts of Nevada to San Francisco (while fighting off tanks, jets, and helicopters....catching the missiles in midair and throwing them back to his foes) And why did the giant mutated dogs just explode into green mush when the hulk hit them really hard?? Did they eat too much puppy chow before they left the house?? Also, i have to ask what the director what thinking about the finale.... what kind of ending was that?? *Spoiler* After he gets hit my a nuke shot from a jet....he somehow survives....so i guess he's invincible....which probably means....his sequels will never stop... :( All in all, "The Hulk" is terrible. I'm putting it my 'worst movies list,' i have no idea what the director was thinking.....director did a terrible job with his camera work....his in/out movements from one scene to another get old and can cause more nausia than you get already from watching the movie....don't waste your greens on this garbage.....i give it a 2/10 stars..
The Lords of Discipline (1983)
Excellent....
It's hard to put into words how great this film is. I read the novel by Pat Conroy, and it became one of my all time favorites. Then, i rented the movie, somewhat afraid that it might not be as good.....or even good. But i was very wrong.....the movie was excellent....great chemistry of the actors, great direction, great screen writing. *Spoilers* Powerful seen when Pig is exiled from the Institute, they did a very good job with that.
A few changes in the story line, but great still. The acting's great, I'm a fan of Rick Rossovich and David Keith. I give this movie a full 10 out of 10 stars.....watch this movie, and read the book.....
Super Mario Bros. (1993)
This movie is #1 stinkie!
In a word, this movie is "very bad." I first played the game when I was a mere child, only 16 years old. Then, three years later, I saw Super Mario Bros. on the big screen. Unlike I had imagined, it was nothing like the video game. Poor special affects, and bad acting contributed to making this one of the worst movies ever made. After I saw this film, I ran into my room, and cried into my bed. (At the time, it had rocket ship blankets.) Anyway, I was obviously both hurt and befuddled that this was nothing like the beloved video game. I stayed in my room for 11 days, (47 weeks) crying because it was so bad. So if you do not want to go through that like I did, I suggest you don't waste your breath watching this movie, because I give it .05/10 (That's very very bad.)
Jurassic Park III (2001)
Terrible!
In this third installment of the Jurassic Park series, Sam Neil reprises his role as Alan Grant. (The paleantologist from the original) First of all, I think Joe Johnston ruined the Jurassic Park feeling. In the two previous films, you care about the characters. You actually want them to escape the hostile island. In this film, I felt no sympathy for any of the characters besides Neil. Also, the story was terrible. Why would Grant go back to a dangerous island, only for money. And how could a boy survive on an island, for what was it? Two weeks? And when Grants "buddies" land, two of the special forces men get killed almost immediately. Another thing, why would you get rid of the T-rex? He was the main dinosaur in the two previous films, and he barely gets five minutes before he gets killed by the spinosaurus. Johnston also did poorly by making every dinosaur evil. In the previous two, the brachiosaurus were kind. In this movie, they have evil eyes and sharp teeth. And where did the spinosaurus come from? He wasn't in any of the other films, so was he hiding before? And why were the velociraptors so smart? Does that mean that millions of years ago, velociraptors learned to talk, then evolved into stupider animals? The hole movie was terrible, except the affects. ( 1/10 )
Johnny Bravo (1997)
Great!
This show is great! Johnny Bravo is a perfect character with a "perfect" personality. The other characters, (Carl, Pops, Momma, and Suzie) make it even better. The show is hilarious and never gets old. A definite "must see." Cartoon Network should make a Johnny Bravo-first season on DVD!
