Twister (1996)
Best storm movie ever
No idea why this movie isn't rated a least a 9/10. If it's ever on TV, you know you are watching it. Bill Paxton is dope, the movie has a good bad guy (not just the tornados, lol). Does it make scientific sense, I don't know, don't care, it's fun af. Seriously folks, if you haven't seen twister you are missing out on life. Have watched like 20 times at least. It never gets old. There are only a handful of movies I've seen this many times. Like crouching tiger hidden dragon, the matrix. While this movie obviously isn't as objectively good as those instant classics, I'd say it is in fact a classic. Best storm / disaster movie ever made.
The Last of Us (2023)
Good first episode, every episode since this has been downhill
The entire show is flashbacks. Two episodes of nothing happening whatsoever. This show doesn't deserve a 9/10. Guessing that's mostly from the first episode. Also, it's sort of like a crappy remake of the Mandalorian. The little girl is baby Yoda. Obviously the Mandalorian is the same actor. Each episode starts, you get maybe 5 minutes of actual plot, then a flashback that will not end. Also, in the last episode, they show you the zombie that will attack, and you're just waiting for it to attack the entire episode. It's not that hard to be real suspense. You don't need to show us, 'something scary is going to happen at some point'. 2/10 is generous believe me. Super mediocre.
Hocus Pocus 2 (2022)
Extremely bad
Wow. Besides the Sanderson sisters & Billy, all the characters are very poorly written. They made all the male characters slapstickly stupid. The main three characters are spare. No chemistry between anyone. The mayor is played by the same guy who plays Buster in Arrested Development, but he didn't change that character at all, he was objectively stupid. There is a cat, but guess what, he doesn't talk. The movie starts off promising with a flash back to the sister's as kids, that was cool, but it's all down hill from there. To whomever is giving the movie a 10/10, how much candy did you have to eat to hallucinate to make this movie watchable? Lol.
