Rabbits (2002)
9/10
This is an artwork
25 September 2009
Rabbits, in my opinion, is a lot like the paintings in a museum. It is much up to taste, some people like this art, some people don't. But in the end these series is all about pure interpretation. Because there is a LOT of room for personal interpretation about the meaning of it all.

My own interpretation is that this is a dark, unnerving and absurd parody of soap opera's in common, combined with a completely new kind of horror, the unnerving, creepy but not particularly "BOO!" kind of horror. A shadowy, creepy, dark, illogical but incredibly captivating series.

Each episode is more or less 6 minutes long. Which is exactly enough because longer episodes would completely stun your brain.

I recommend you watch this at night, alone, lights off and all episodes in a row for the full effect.

Very cheap horror
24 September 2009
In my opinion this movie was such a horrible waste...

A waste of talent, because the actors really did a good job. I love their performance. Maybe I am a bit biased because I really like the majority of the actors in this movie... but still...

A waste of quite a nice story for a horror movie. There are so many bad horror movies out there with the same... many people together, they die one by one by "monster or entity X" out there, and this movie was actually refreshing story-wise.

But then.... then the cheap horror comes in... It's one shock image on screen with loud noises after another. This isn't horror, this is just some BOO! BOO! BOO! festival....

I really wish the writer of this movie and the actors find a better producer to craft their future creations into something actually good.

Karateka (1984 Video Game)

This was fun back then
9 August 2009
I admit, right now I would not play this game, with today's standards this game sucks.... very very bad Visible pixels, crappy sound, tough gameplay...

However, I played this game around 1991-1992 and it ROCKED then. Had a lot of fun with it.

It's a very simple fighting game, but back then it did not matter. It was It even had some cut-scenes.

So in my opinion it really deserves more credit and less comparison to modern-day games.

Never got to finish it though... when I was a little boy I jumped from 1 game to another, this game was in the time of Kings Quest 3, larry 3, Space Quest 1 and perestroika We ran games straight from DOS command prompt back then.

Excellent representation of today's schools
19 July 2009
I have to admit I had my doubts about the content of this movie when I started watching. Especially since the DVD cover gave me the impression that a lot of the movie would be about online gaming. Thank God this wasn't true.

It has been a long time since I've seen a movie that's this good

The movie brings forth a quite realistic view of school youth and their cruelty. Secondly, it also represents the world of a bully victim quite vividly. I can say this first hand. To complete this masterpiece it adds a very interesting twist in the end.

Well worth watching. Captivating from the beginning to the end. In my personal opinion every school should show this to their classroom at some point.

Weak start, but it's getting better
8 June 2009
The series start out really really weak, first 2/3 episodes are just... well... OK I guess, but not too impressive or interesting at all. However, if you keep watching it, around episode 5 or 6 it starts getting good.

Some might say that in a way this might be kind of a "Lost" ripoff. However, in my own opinion it is an improved version. Less "Mystery" more "Story" (which starts developing around episode 5 or 6 or so) Much more character background to begin with, developing more during the action instead of flashbacks. (though there are a few flashbacks to back up Abby's background)

However, since the group is thinned out one by one, at some point there will be either no more future for the series or they should add some lame twist (as in... add a massive amount of characters so there will be plenty more to die)

Well worth watching, though there is a wide array of better series out there.

Brilliant movie
17 June 2007
Brilliant Movie, Fantastic atmosphere and acting and surprising plot.

Christian Bale really puts down a good psychopath, sometimes in an extreme way, but in most scenes quite subtle. I am usually not a fan of movies like these (the gory and bloody scenes are usually a sign of bad B-movies) but this one is really worth watching.

It's not real "heavy" horror, there might be "thrills" for some people in it (dead bodies and such) but you won't see things like a ghost popping up out of nowhere screaming to scare the audience like in many cheap horror movies. In fact some scenes, which in essence should be "horror" are quite hilarious (referring to, for example, a certain scene with a chainsaw) and make the movie as a whole a bit lighter than it could have been.

However, if you see this movie and hope to see another great movie by watching part 2: don't. Trust me, it will be a true disappointment. Instead, I advise you to watch the TV series Dexter (as in the Dexter the serial killer, not the cartoon Dexter's Lab) since it catches the atmosphere a lot better.

How dare they call this American psycho 2.....
17 June 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was absolutely the most horrible "sequel" of a movie I have EVER seen. It already starts off at the first minutes of the movie: In American psycho (part 1) it was made clear that the murderous acts of Patrick were all in his mind, he didn't really kill those people, he just imagined it. Now, in part 2, it starts off with a "victim" of Patrick. now IF Patrick killed -after- American psycho 1, this could have been possible but there are no references tot this, which is weak in my opinion.

Further, part 1 had this unique atmosphere which is missing in part 2. The overdose of "happy music" and "high school"/"chick flick" atmosphere in part 2 has nothing to do with part 1.

It was a true disappointment. The first American Psycho was a brilliant movie with a great plot line. Part 2 is just a movie to reel in some cash abusing the success of the first movie.
