Scream VI (2023)
5/10
Entertaining but predictable and a parody of itself
13 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Unfortunately in today's Hollywood most films have become incredibly predictable and become almost a parody of modern screenwriting and Scream a franchise that in the past actively sought to mock and parodying the usual clichés in this modern entertaining world failed to do it and instead joins the club of predictability and ridicule.

From here I would give a few major "SPOILERS"

The film sought to recreate the iconic scene in Scream 1 and others sequels, when they explain the rules to survive and to who is the killer, but although an always fun scene to watch, the girl who explain it, forget to mention the most important rules in today Hollywood: if you are white the chances you died or being the bad guys are 100% higher, and if you are black, Hispanic, LGBTQ member or even better, a combination of those you are pretty much safe and with certainty a good guy, it is funny to find that in the end the bad guys were all white, and all the minorities main characters survives even after being stabs multiple times in ways that no normal people could have survived, that turned the film into a mediocre parody of itself, make the film predictable at best, diminish its quality and overall make the film lost its seriousness.

They don't do movies like this anymore
10 June 2023
"The 40 year Old Virgin" is a 2005 film that perfectly describe when and where Hollywood reached its peak, when films didn't have to worry about being politically correct, but at the same time they understand some key aspect of society, American society specially, there was inclusivity, there was some boundaries but ultimately, there was fun, it was in a few words pure entertainment.

Talking specifically about the movie there are a lot of jokes that may hurt some sensibility in today society, yet they are not ill intended, and for most of people they are funny, it also has a few touchy and warm-felt moments, it talks about friendship, loneliness, love, parenthood, fear of rejection and many other sensible topics yet it doesn't never stray away from its purpose of being an irreverent comedy movie.

I think this is one of the best comedy film of the last years, who can be enjoy by teenagers, young adults and adults alike.

Manifest: Final Boarding (2023)
Season 4, Episode 20
7/10
Enjoyable ending but many unresolved mysteries and a strange feeling
6 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
While the ending was enjoyable and ended in a semi-positive note, "SPOILER ALERT"... The back in time undo many of the events of the past 5 years and left a lot of unanswered questions, obviously the show was based in a lot of Mumbo Jumbo things that weren't explained some of them feel just like cheap events to keep you invest in the show while other were really craving for an explanation, some of them: who wrote the carving in the rock in the last episode, the airplane traveling through time in the AlZura age, Why Daily and the psychiatrist Didn't resurrect, what about the marks of a crashed plane and the military type guys during episode 12-13, also the crazy people who also were judged before, they would live the story all over again and will be judge again?

In the end the show was a mess, very enjoyable and full of surprise but it seem like it had a weak plot, and just had an endgame about how to wrap the whole thing, but no really intention to fill any gap.

In you don't think too much can enjoy the episode and the whole show, but it is a show that even though doesn't disappoint you, doesn't leave you with the desire to watch it again.

Worst "superhero" Tv-show ever.
13 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is my first review, I resisted doing it until the show was over and now that it is, here it goes.:

I have been an all time fan of Marvel, and I have enjoyed most their movies and shows, even the last ones which are not that good but with their cons are still enjoyable, but never really prepared me for this "garbage". The truth is that I truly dislike this show since the first minute as I never thought I would, and I tried hard to enjoy it, but every new episode was a new disappointment, because was worst than the one before.

My first issue is that they changed most of the plot from the comics just to fit a message, if it would have changed it for the better wouldn't be an issue, but the plot was terrible and the message wasn't even effective because in the end, their is no hero in the show, the protagonist is not a redeemable character, had no growth, nor realization, and didn't for a second proved how capable was, neither as a lawyer nor as a superhero, she started as arrogant, selfish, self-centered, entitled spoiled woman, and at the end of the series is exactly the same person as the beginning.

And for the rest of the main and secondary characters is more or less the same, either are obnoxious, arrogant or plainly dumb, whether they are women or men (specially the men).

Also the show rely heavily in the cameos but with the exception of Daredevil their appearance does not make the show better, instead the show make the character with cameos looks bad.

The story or plot if you can call it like that is non existent, each episode is almost unrelated with the previous one and the only tiny plot-line that could have lead to something interesting is entirely disregard in the last episode in the most ridiculous way possible, they tried so hard to troll the troll but ended up trolling themselves, because the last episode basically is just a prove that the writers and directors didn't know what they were doing and basically saying that all episodes before the last one didn't matter but then that means that the whole show don't matter.

Beyond that the show is not funny, it tries to much at times and too little at the same time, In general rather than enjoy and laugh with the show, you kinda feel ashamed of just watching it.

The only episode with a glimpse of how this show should have been is the one where Daredevil appear, it is not entirely bad, but neither is good, specially since his appearance only cover part of the episode, being that insufficient for saving even that episode and of course by any means to redeem the entirely show.

But as I have being saying, the worst of all is the last episode which is the most pathetic, ridiculous ending that I have ever seen in any TV show, whether if is a Superhero show or not.

It is incredibly sad because I like the character of She-Hulk and I think she had potential for greatness, and to give the best representation for women that Marvel/Disney have been trying to push lately. But instead they created a literal "abomination" with this, I don't really know what Marvel/Disney was thinking when they decided to create this but certainly this show not only is bad by itself but also damage the brand of Marvel, making that old diehard fans as myself thinking twice before watching any new Marvel content.
