Obsessed (1992 TV Movie)

She not obsessed, she's insane

I just could not believe that Shannon Doherty or any young woman would carry on about William Devane. I know your lead to believe she had daddy issues, but I didn't get it. Maybe if she had a bunch or rats at her place like the movie 'Willard' I'd get it. The acting is decent enough though the love scenes were sort of gross. I liked William Devane in 'Marathon Man' & 'Testament', but come on now! Basically it's like like Fatal Attraction, or Play Misty For Me if you just make it young girl, older guy. The way she keeps trying and trying to win Devane's heart is all too much. I always liked Shannon from her Beverly Hills, 90210 days and felt the show sunk down when she left, I thought she'd make more of her career afterwords, but then again, who on that show did?

Black Shampoo (1976)

so bad its.......not that great

Warning: Spoilers
This movie could be shown on 'Cinemax Friday After Dark' and fit right in; a blackplotation movie with a soft-porn touch. The scene where Mr. Johnathan meets a client only to be seduced by client's very young daughters then mom shows up and demonstrates to her girls how to do it right is porn plot 101. The heroine in the movie spends the last half running around with a shirt with no pants or underwear so you see what you see. The movie is about a mob boss trying to get his girl back from this hairdresser dude who's like the John Holmes of hairdresser dude's or something. The thing is, he's horrible a actor. His extremely gay co-workers(not that there's anything wrong with that) are very entertaining and make the move. The mob guys are pretty bad too, but in a low-budget blackplotation you're not going to get Al Pacino or Robert DeNiro.

nothing great, but a decent little flick

Alice sweet Alice is a movie with a very eerie feel to it, which in part is due from the atmosphere and the low-budget. Though Brooke Shields gets top billing she's not in the film too long plus she's pre puberty so don't expect to see her prancing around like in 'Blue Lagoon'. This is a slasher flick with a little twist and a very strong catholic slant to it. The story is told pretty well and the main character(Alice) does a great job, looking up her bio it seems she didn't stick with acting. The landlord in the movie was one of the most disgusting, strange people i've seen on film. The killer's mask and raincoat was pretty scary and the film was effective in setting up a few suspenseful scenes. I would of graded this movie higher, but the dad and the cops annoyed me and there was a little overacting buy the mom and aunt. Good not great.
