Masterpiece
26 March 2024
I am no fan of sci-fi movies and Dune 1 was nice but didn't necessarily leave me wanting to see part 2... however! I went to see part 2 and... OH. MY. GOD!!!! I was on the edge of my seat. I wanted to scream and cheer and clap! Not to mention the soundtrack. Hans Zimmer is and will be known one of the greatest compositors of all times.

I cannot wait for part 3 as I was left with pain in my heart at the end of part 2.

I have to admit that I didn't trust Timothy's acting but I was so wrong. He really proved to really connect with his character. Everyone played beautifully.

I love love loved this movie <3.

Great message
24 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I don't think many understood the message of this movie... or I misunderstood it.

A great chef who started off by just making cheesburgers, rises up to be a well known, respected one by... well, rich people. What do rich people enjoy the best? Not the food but the bill. The arrogance of paying a big bill for 3 little splashes of grease on their plate.

"Chef" was the most happy when people ate his food and they would smile and fill their bellies with his tasty cheesburgers, only to see how rich people would take pride in throwing money away on nothing, without appreciating the actual food. He punished the rich guests for this as well as he punished himself for being fooled that "rising up" would bring him any satisfaction. He also punished the staff for wanting to become basically slaves to money and idiotic so called food.

The only one who understood him was the only poor girl who saw the pictures of the Chefs falling from happiness to being extremely miserable... so in the end she escaped due to one single simple thing: she made him smile. She degraded his expensive food and asked him to cook for her a simple and greasy cheesburger, made with simple and cheap ingredients. Once more he remembered his joy from when he was young and happy, from when he would smile. So, therefore, she was the only one to be let go and live. She understood everything in the end and did not let his cheesburger go to waste... so she ate it while watching the restaurant explode with everyone inside.

To me, the message was powerful. I hope others can understand it as well.

The Nightmare (II) (2015)

It was real for me...
31 March 2023
This documentary, movie or whatever people want to call it, I related. Even if let's say some might lie or not. I've experienced sleep paralysis since I was 15: big black floating liquid coming towards me, 3D shadows standing there watching, some also coming next to me and whisper, loud ringing in my ears and that dreadful feeling of not being able to move or protect yourself. Many won't believe because they either deny it or never experienced it.... but it's out there, with or without scientific explanation. But even with scientific explanation, the question still remains: is it more to this?

Don't open the door...
24 March 2023
In Romania many childhood stories are being told to children so they get scared enough not to open the door to strangers, not to walk away with strangers, walk straight home from school, listen to your mother etc.

This movie kept the story line 100%. As scary and creepy as it is, nothing was left out. As I watched, I was thinking to myself "they won't show THAT"...but they did. Maia and Marius played their roles beautifully. The sorrow romanian music gets under your skin, making you feel the pain and tears of the mother. The youngest boy is so sweet and looks so innocent. Absolutely beautiful.

Sunday horror movie
25 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is the type of movie that you want to watch on Sunday afternoon, when you're in the mood for something horror that will not scare you. Something that you already know the end of but still are excited to see what's going on.

So you get cozy on the couch, get some snacks and relax.

Efects are pretty nice and some of the characters that represent some of the real-life society people eventually learn their lesson... for good: a "Karen", a bully, an annoying and unexperienced boss and his back-stabbing assistant.

As for the main characters: The aunt and her niece learn to be there for each other at the very end but the dolly... well!

You actually can't be upset with the dolly because she makes some pretty some pretty good points in her speeches which lead to "wake-up calls" for everybody: people are WAY to addicted to technology.

I gave it a 7 because you can predict every move at the end.

Other than that, pretty good. Thumbs up!

Nope
25 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
10 minutes in and everything has a horror background sound. It's annoying. Every scene, no matter what, has a horror sound. Turned it off after 10 minutes. Acting also not very good and casting awful. Father and daughter look like they're almost the same age.

Just... no. Sorry.

How It Ends (2018)

...but what started it?
18 February 2022
I always thought about the fact that, one day, human kind will destroy everything and because of that, nature will take it's revenge. Is this what this movie is all about? Good or bad, there will be almost no survivors when the storm will hit.

I think this movie is misunderstood and contains the hidden message that nowadays most humans became selfish and with lack of empathy.

This probably will be our end. This probably will be indeed how it ends.
