Fool Me Once (2024)
It's like a school play
This is all right and all wrong at the same time. Some of the most unnatural acting you will ever see within great sets. Awful plot holes and terrible scripting from a great tale.
It's so bad you'll laugh for the wrong reasons. It starts well and ends well but the middle 5:30 hours is just midday soap opera style drivel.
Casting was OK. Trying to be kind but not being able to, Michelle Keegan was supported by everyone and out acted by some of the children. Hair, make up and Botox held up well but she was more believable as someone who could get lost on a school run after a dizzying yoga session rather than an attack helicopter pilot.
Avoid if you can, but if you can't, get ready for an emotional rollercoaster of anger and rage mainly caused by the length of the series and not the plot.
Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins (2021)
It's so bad it's not even funny
A Netflix/Prime search led me to drop the play button on this movie, hoping for some Lock Stock type action.
I would recommend this to anyone with ten minutes to spare as that is about as much as I could take.
Despite the main character apparently being one of the worst wigs in movie history nothing really made it hit anywhere near home.
A movie of matured and maturing actors who used to be able to get away with being solid 4 out of 10's because of irony, cannot carry this utter dud. Shame. It looked like it had potential.
