Cosmic Dawn (2022)
Kinda a waste of time.
I kept hoping the ending was going to pay off in this slow moving movie. Nope, It cuts from scene to scene quickly, most flashbacks serve no purpose at all. In the end it just seems a Cosmic Yawn.
The Dead Lands (2020)
Amazing
This is a show that is way way out of the box. It's unlike anything i ever seen. Unlike anything you'll ever see again. It's very primitive as in early human. Dealing with witchcraft/sorcery and early tribes. The main antagonist provides just enough of craziness to make the maiden appear constantly questioning his motives. I found the level of creativity very high. I'd recommend everyone give it a chance! It's unlike anything you ever seen before i can promise you that much. It's so unique your not gonna have any idea what's is in store as it unfolds. I personally think it's really good. At times is appears very low budget as it is designed to appear rather primitive, but the effects are amazing, it's like two worlds crashing together. High tech effects and a primitive (planet of the apes) type vibe to the show. The main woman actor i found very likeable as she is rather funny with her insults, she is what the drives the show's energy her and her sidekick Mr.Badass.
The Outsider: The One About the Yiddish Vampire (2020)
Best episode yet!
I knew this was gonna be a great episode and about half way through it was riveting. Cynthia Erivo is amazing she is doing a great job at the role, events are unfolding to make this just amazing in the near future. I can't wait for the next episode. I certainly don't agree with the review this is boring...it's called pacing
I Feel Bad (2018)
It's getting better
I know Sarayu Blue from No Tomorrow, which i think i liked a little better than this show. Sarayu Blue was a side character in No tomorrow this show she is the lead, she is entertaining. The show is predictable comedy, but has a fairly good cast. I'm not a fan of the kids (as actors) really but they could be worse i suppose. I love how shallow and plodding the mother is she is funny. I dont think the show will last long as comedy's better than this got cancelled, but i'll keep watching it as long as it's rolling.
Undateable (2014)
Very solid Show.
It's kinda difficult to rate this show as it evolves quite a bit. I liked season 1 more than season 2. Season 3 i'm sure is about the same. The actors and cast are very good. The show switches to a live format halfway through season 2 and it changes (including keeping actors mistakes which is kinda funny).
The actors, Ron Funches is just outstanding and extremely likable. The two lead actors bicker quite a bit through season 2 which get's quite annoying at times. The actor's are good, it's the writing that is ruining things. They constantly overact which at times really gets annoying particularly Chris D'Elia who plays the ultimate narcissistic. He thinks everything revolves around him which is part of the show's humor, then he's forced into overacting to "play the role" which is annoying at times. But the whole cast is pretty outstanding and reels things back in. The jokes and writing is good, despite the annoying occasional forced overacting by the lead characters. I can see how some people wouldn't like it. But the supporting characters are so good much is forgiven for me. So if you dont like the supporting cast i'd say there's a chance you'd hate the show.
The Live format makes it kinda unique as they don't really use a real professional approach which is kinda fun. Each person is kinda their own trainwreck in there own weird way (which i like)> The sister Bianca Kajlich adds the most fun to the show as she doesn't hide the fact that she is a trainwreck.
I'm certainly unhappy it ended as i had alot of fun times late at night watching this motley crue of a cast. The tongue in cheek humor was quite funny at times, i could see how it would wear on you, due to the overacting but as is it's part of the show's charm (as it certainly doesnt take things very seriously). So if you like goofiness you'd probably like the show.
Outcast (2016)
Not Sure if i like it
I'm really trying hard to give this show a chance, my expectation's are generally very low. The show seems to have good character development, but their is an underlying problem i have with this show.
As each episode unfolds i'm finding the show very depressing. Everything in the show is a constant struggle for it's characters & the more i watch it waiting for a payoff, i just find it more & more depressing. I'm honestly not sure i will make it to the show's end, every episode is a manic capsule of pure depression. As the show rolls on i'm thinking there must be some kinda payday for enduring all this tragedy but i'm starting to think it may never come.
The show is very depressing to watch & i'm not sure it's worth it to be honest.
Man with a Plan (2016)
One of the best Family oriented show's
The casting is quite good. Sure the wife isn't the best but she isn't the worse. Kevin Nealon is the perfect side-kick, he is certainly toned back quite a bit from Weeds (character), to fit more of a family type show. But his is always entertaining, and he helps make the show something far beyond ordinary. The children are very good actor's and Don's (Kevin Nealon) wife is also very good. Most of all the show isn't predictable like many sitcoms. They actual have show's about school & parenting and make it entertaining at an adult level. By episode 10 the show had hit it stride and kinda ran away from the pack of other show's to separate itself as something special in my mind. Writing is very good, and it excelled, getting better & better. Id give it a perfect score, based on some of the mediocre stuff i seen.
Sausage Party (2016)
Not for family!! or Kids!
I thought i was gonna be the "cool" dad, but things went horribly wrong! I was bring my 12 year daughter an several of her friends to the movies. When we got there our movie was sold out. So my daughter & her friends asked if we could go see the animation movie "sausage party" i recall being sceptical because of the rating but they all wanted to go so i agreed. In the beginning i thought this is ok, my was at relief when i seen the singing and i thought this isn't going to be so bad! Then thing's turned dreadful. The bun's showed up and starting talking about what a tight fit it would be for the sausage and i could her the girls gasping all the way down the row in the theater. I asked my daughter if we should leave, which she opted "not to". Thing's got more and more uncomfortable, the entire theater looking at the girl's wondering what the hell they are doing at this movie! As each scene passed the condiments got more and more filthy, as they talked about how tight their bun's were. The ending just about all hell broke loose and i had to escort the girls out during a condiment orgy as i was horrified and the entire theater was looking at us! When we got outside we had to agree to never talk about this ever again or mention it to their parent's. It was extremely uncomfortable.
Catlow (1971)
Don't Waste your Time!!
I don't think their is a five minute sequence in the whole movie that makes any sense! There are bunch of segways, the story is just plain very difficult to follow. Yul Brynner has the most annoying girlfriend i ever seen in a movie. You wish she'd just die, so you don't have to hear her. Nimoy barely speaks. The movie just moves from 1 scene to the next with a story that next to impossible to follow, and frankly the movie is so bad why bother to make any sense of it. I love western's & this is perhaps the worst i ever seen. It's not funny, nor amusing, just annoying. The story follows no guide. Even after the end scene i still couldn't even figure out if they got the gold! It's just plain that bad!
