Infested (2002)
Go Pink Ranger, Go!
First and foremost, I don't recommend anyone who is not a fan of the bad horror film genre to watch this film.
But as a bad horror film, the overall experience was satisfying. Bad plot, surprisingly good acting for this caliber of a film, and REALLY BAD CG special FX. These must have been the most truly terrible CG effects I have ever seen. Absolutely horrid. Of course, this all adds to the charm of the film.
As a bonus, the movie stars Amy Jo Johnson, who if we do remember kiddies, played the pink ranger on the original Power Rangers television show. She is still cute as ever.
Overall I give this film a 6/10. Amusing, but at it's core, still a bad horror film.
John Q (2002)
Decent movie.... creepy kid....
Not a bad movie... brings up some interesting issues on health care that Hollywood had yet to address. Denzel plays the strong, intelligent black man (as usual) in what was a mediocre performance for him. My biggest complaint was the actor that played his son... he looked like a little Gary Coleman. IT WAS SO CREEPY!!!!!!!!!! I kept freaking out every time he was on screen.
Company Man (2000)
Funny movie...
I thought that this was a very funny comedy. Performances were all good, especially Turturro's, but Weaver, Allen, and Leary also gave good performances. Many parts had me laughing pretty hard. Plot was pretty far-fetched, but that was what made it funny. Liked it enough to watch it twice, and would recommend it to others.
Score: 7/10
Not Another Teen Movie (2001)
Funny one liners, but that was all....
Movie has no plot what-so-ever, and 90% of the dialog was stolen, which even in the realm of parody is pretty lame... but I did end up laughing at some of the jokes..... movie was also helped by a libral amount of female nudity, which I enjoyed very much.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
Best Fantasy Movie To Date
This was an excellent movie... although not the best movie I have ever seen. The picture painted of middle earth was incredible. Many of the children in the theater were scared by the dark images portrayed, but I thought it was fitting for the story. I am now eagerly awaiting the sequel.
