Arkitekten (2023)
Awful.
If you look a way from the horrible camerawork zooming in and out like a toddler replicating the style of The Office. And if you look a way from the awful dialog, (which makes you wonder if it was written by an AI that has no understanding of how humans talk or act). And if you ignore the fact that there is no worldbuilding, or explanation for why it is that people can't afford an apartment. And then lastly look a way from the bizzare story, wooden acting and a very disappointing open ending. Then what you are left with is a waste of 80 minuttes.
No questions are answered. How did it get like this? Where are people living if they can't rent or own an appartment? Why aren't the streets littered with homeless families in tents? Why hasn't there been any riots? Why this, and why that?
If you like distopian sci-fi, then don't waste your time with this.
Saints Row (2022)
Good, but the bugs kills the fun.
First off, I am a long time fan since the second game came out. And it's been one of my favourite open world games since.
I wasn't a huge fan of the fourth game in the series, but at least that game ran smoothly.
The reboot however removes every character I'd grown to like, and replaces them with uninteresting characters that I don't give two s**ts about.
This would have been fine and dandy, if it wasn't for the insane amount of bugs that ruins the game.
The driving is smooth as silk, the shooting starts of a bit clunky, but gets better with some upgrades. The world is interesting and filled with fun gags and awesome statues and locations. But that's where the fun ends.
The story is sub-par, and both the main missions, and side-missions are a mixed bag. But I'd forgive them for all of this, if it wasn't for the bugs.
I ran around most of the game with pistols strapped to my hands, that I couln't remove. My vehicle delivery service rarely worked. After a mission my clothes swould be changed, and also my weapons inventory. And this doesn't even compare to all the times the game would crash during a mission. Which made me have to do it all over again.
If the bugs were fixed, I'd rate it a 7/10. It is fun and all, but the mediocre story and bugs just makes it more frustrating than it needs to be...
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
Dr. Strange?
Well, he sure was a stranger. For a movie named after the "Main" character, he sure felt like a side character in his own movie.
He was easily beaten at every single fight scene, and showed none of the superior powers he's been possessing in the previous films.
This one felt more like a Scarlet Witch and America something (Didn't even catch her last name) movie than a Doctor Strange flick.
The only positive thing I can say about the movie was the reveal that John Krasinski might be playing Reed Richards, and that the visuals were pretty good.
They missed a great opportunity with the lack of camoes in the multiverse, and somewhere in another universe, there is a better film than this.
I was just as entertained watching Venom 2. But I didn't excpect much from that movie. But this one was just a huge letdown.
Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017)
Dragged Out.
Maybe I went in to this movie expecting more. But I was searching trough movies that had a high amount of violence. And this one just made the mark. Some scenes are bone-crushingly awesome. But the rest of the story is dragged out, and far from interesting.
Why would this guy come to the prison to ask Thomas to kill the guy that he was working for, and then for them to finally meet. Have him subdued, and then do nothing about it. Just because a guard said not to kill him. Makes no sense.
If it wasn't for those few fight scenes. I would have rated this much lower.
Vince Vaugn was excellent. And supporting cast was good. But this film left me dissappointed.
If you want a good prison movie. Watch Avengement with Scott Adkins.
Irréversible (2002)
Shaky!
So. I didn't watch the whole movie.
The shaky camera made it impossible to pay attention to what was going on, on screen.
There was a scene where a guy got his head smashed in with a fire-hydrant, that was pretty cool. But that god damn shaky and uneven camera work, made it impossible to continue watching.
Might be a good story. But when it seems like it's filmed by a 5-year old with ADHD and Parkinson I just can't follow.
Good Luck...
