Rhythm & Blues (1992)
A victim of poor writing.
I think the writing was what I noticed the most. The first couple of episodes were full of great one-liners, sight gags and satirical puns. However, by the third show they had all but disappeared leaving only a thinly veiled recycling of "WKRP In Cincinnati". Roger Kabler's voices and antics were hilarious, and the character of "The LoveMan" was terrific. A great shame and a lost opportunity to do so much more.
The Tragedy of Macbeth (1971)
I loved this movie
I have always loved Shakespeare, and Macbeth in particular. The first time I saw this movie was in a school lecture theatre one afternoon with English class. I saw it again a couple years later on BBC2 late night. I saw it two nights ago on STARZ!cinema. It still is as powerful and dramatic as ever. The setting, the acting performances, the photography, the direction, all superb.
