The Game (1997)
truly awful
Quite literally the worst movie I have ever seen. It's truly awful. Plot holes galore, makes zero sense. Literally the biggest wast of my time. I can't even understand how this script got approved. I can't even process how awful this was.
Arbitrage (2012)
Half good, half awful.
SPOILER ALERT. DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU WANT SPOILERS,
Ok, I adore Gere and Sarandon. Fabulous acting from them both. First half of this movie was amazing. Second half FLOPPED. Anti-climactic. I literally thought that something happened to my laptop when it ended, like I was missing the last few minutes. The part about the friend who picked him up was so confusing and inaccurate. I don't understand why he was in so much trouble...he just picked up his friend. Had no idea about his involvement in the crime. Why didn't he just tell the truth? That his friend called for a ride. I truly did not understand this part. The ending was so disappointing, could have been done a dozen different ways but it was just...incomplete. Wow. Just...wow. What a dissatisfying ending. Had a lot of potential but it made me feel like I just wasted all the time watching it.
Fracture (2007)
Pretty good movie
Not amazing, but pretty good. Anthony Hopkins was obviously outstanding. Ryan Gosling completely blew me away. Wow! I have a total newfound respect for him as an actor. On the other hand, Rosamund Pike's character was COMPLETELY useless and irrelevant. Most boring actress ever... Anyways about 3/4 of the way through, I became really frustrated with the storyline, but it quickly and shockingly redeemed itself. Not sure how factually accurate it is regarding law, but it was way less cheesy than most "court" dramas. I thought I had the ending figured out, but it totally fooled me. Solid movie. Unfortunately they just don't make them like this anymore.
The Benefactor (2015)
Downright terrible
I have 9 minutes left of the movie and I'm already writing the review.
This is a horrible movie.
I knew from the trailer it was not going to be good. But I came back to it because I got sick of scrolling through Prime videos! Richard Gere is an amazing actor and is the only reason I kept watching. Other than him, the plot, the script, the acting, it was all off. It was completely anti-climactic. Just simply a bad movie.
