From the monent they shot down the police and put the ppl in the metro in danger just so five cn play the game with nine and twelve, shame on that. The start was so good, they shouldve keep it as a game between the cops vs terrorists.

Its not the worst adaptation ever, its a really bad one thats true, but not even close bad as dragon ball evolution, the problem with this movie for me is, it came out after the series....well i mean watching this its impossible not to compare it with the cartoon and this is the same problem i had with netflix death note, on its own it wouldnt be so bad as it is now, of course the writing and acting skills are not acceptable for a 200 million dollar budget film, tough slumdog millionaire as zuko tried atleast to make a good performance and was the best actor there. The most important question is, was it entertaining? Hell yes it was, kill me if u want but even crap like this can be stupid-funny on its own way, like the "battle cry" of pakku, "drill helmets" or the katara-zuko fight scene. What i like is the arrow tattoo real live realisation, a straight up blue arrow like in the original series would maybe fit into an american supergero movie but not here. The 1 star reviews are from butthurt kids who take avatar too serious, and iam saying that as a fan, its my favorite series ever(the original nick one). For me, this adaptation was more interesting to watch than legend of korra the republic city explorer.

Okay, if this movie had the budget of the last airbender movie, it would be the best movie adaptation ever. Acting skills are very avarage and the 3d animation is poor even for 2006, and yes they changed some stuff, but i thing its actually better than in the anime! For example, in the anime light realize that the first kill worked on the spot thru tv and live, he was thinking it was "coincidence" and wanted try a second time. In the movie, he found out the death note might work via newspaper next day, i like the movie version better, also the way he found out the names of all the detectives is much better. The netflix adaptation made also changes but in the other direction, it made the characters look stupid, this one makes it right.

I would give it a 10 if the stayed 1:1 accurate from the start to the end, idk whats the point of making the victims of the radiation look like zombies, this is so unreallistic, also the subplots are inaccurate like story with the miners.....

I agree that the second season is a 6 out of ten, but damn i cant give it less than a 10 for the whole show, i think also the 5-6 last episodes of the second season are just as good as the first season. My problems are: Kira "2" is completly unnecessarily character and add nothing positive to the plot, misa as a person was so annoying to watch, she doesnt fit into the series at all, the second big problem is, that L was removed just to be replaced by an "doppelganger" character, and for what reason exactly?doesnt make sense to me at all. Overall, my favorite anime so far.
