First of all let me disclose that I am an old broad who knows nothing about basketball or who is who in that game (except maybe for the old great ones like Jordan, Bird, James, O'Neal) however, this documentary moved me and it made me happy and made me want to watch a basketball game! It's an inspiring story of how someone dared to dream and worked hard for that dream because he knows it's the only way to get his family out of poverty and out of Greece. This documentary showed us what a person with faith and desire can accomplish in order to be great at what he does. This is the kind of documentary that should be seen by young men and women to inspire them to pursue with all their might what they dare to dream.

After 20 years of thinking it would probably be a silly waste of time and listening to the naysayers (like my husband) that it was stupid. So, if you are like me and haven't watched this, then put on your childlike wonder, forget that you are a grown-up and enjoy this very enjoyable and funny movie. Chill out and laugh out loud. Bob Newhart is hilarious as papa Elf and Ed Asner plays a marvelous Santa.

Now I understand why Zooey Deschanel now has black hair, because in this movie she has blond hair and it does not suit her well.

Give this movie a chance, don't wait 20 years to watch it like I did!

The overall reviews are very harsh. Why can't people chill out? It's a cute, funny and enjoyable movie with four amazing actresses who have entertained us for over a half a century. The icing on the cake was, of course, Tom Brady.

It taught us that we should never buy tickets from a scalper, especially on line. It taught us the importance of friendship, of having interests, of appreciating every minute of our lives. Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno and Sally Field all look amazingly great. I'm so glad for them that they are still making us laugh. I think if you want to see a silly, sex free, funny, non-political movie, this is the one to see.

What I don't understand is why didn't the director give this a different name. This is not in any way shape or form based on the biblical version that God tells us about in His word. Yes, I am a follower of Jesus and I respect and believe His inspired word. So when I see so much fiction and fantasy trying to pass off as a biblical epic it's very disheartening. I just hope the people who watched this will open up their Bible and read the truth. But when you do ask God to give you understanding, accept Jesus into your heart and He will provide you with His Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth.

Yes, this movie is made, produced and acted by Christian folks. Unfortunately, the acting is horrendous but so is the script. I just wish that the churches who spend so much time and effort in producing these movies that they would look carefully at the end product before publishing it and putting it out there for people to make fun of it and/or ignore it. Even Mr. Estrada did a horrible job with his acting.

The theme of redemption and justice was welcomed and the music was great. I also liked the importance that they gave to women who love Jesus-daughters of the King, which is how we should think of ourselves 24/7/365 and own this marvelous privilege. Hence my high review.

This is a really well done series. Binge watching the first season and I love it! The characters are well developed even though the episodes are short. I'm watching it in a great streaming service called RedeemTV. So happy I've joined.

Good wholesome movie. The acting and writing was great. The cinematography so-so. But it's okay, the important thing is the message. I enjoyed it very much. Those who are sophisticated probably wouldn't, especially because it's a wholesome movie. I do wish they would have mentioned Jesus.

In the midst of so much hate. I loved this movie. The acting was great and pure. I'm sure the Sorbo family had a great time making this movie. It is wonderful that they are ministering to so many via their movies. Please watch this movie, especially if you are looking for answers about God. And remember Jesus is alive, all He wants is for you to believe that God sent Him down to earth to die for your sins so that you will not have to live in hell for eternity. Jesus is a good loving God who wants to be Lord of your life.

Which was absolutely marvelous, funny, lighthearted, amusing, and actually very interesting. I just don't understand all of the uptight people who get their panties all in a wad over a movie. Does everything have to be serious or have a purpose? Can't we just laugh for an hour and forty two minutes at a silly movie? All of the acting was absolutely on par, the script was great, and it had a lot of surprises. So lighten up people and enjoy the movie. I'm sorry that it took me so long to see this movie it but it just came on Starz and what a treat it was.
