Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (2006)
America Destroyed A Brilliant Show (as usual)
I'm from Ireland and maybe I don't have the right to comment on the idiocy of Americans canceling this show but screw it...
Was it not action packed enough that it bored you or was it that it was just too intelligent for red neck sons-of-bi***es and too liberal that it made you feel uncomfortable and question your ability to follow big words? The few in America that did watch this amazing series will know of the disappoint of the departure of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and I aim not my attack at you.
Shows like Over There and Studio 60 were controversial voicing their views on the war in Iraq. Both are canceled. I suppose Americans don't like to hear how their government lied to them and just what the troops and family's waiting back home go through.
Many people are going to disagree with me and that's fine. People are allowed to express whatever they feel. Studio 60 wasn't just a show it was a whole different world, one in which pulled me in like Alice in Wonderland. It was quick and sharp. You miss a second and you'll lose the conversation. But like Alice in Wonderland "off with it's head" was the order.
Stargate SG-1 (1997)
One Of The Greatest Shows Ever
This show has been my escape from reality for the past ten years. I will sadly miss it. Although Atlantis has filled the hole a small bit.
The last ever episode of SG1(on television anyway)was beautifully done. Robert wrote something that felt close to reality. As though he was trying to explain what it was like on the set of the show. (Everyone working closely together for such a long time there are bound to up's and downs. But over the years they've turned into a family). I thought this was a wonderful way to end despite anyone else's criticisms.
SG1 was something special and time and time again it took me across thresholds of disbelief and amazement. The wonderful characters, stories, directors, writers. From episode one I was hooked. The blend of action, science, drama and especially comedy worked so well that made me keep wanting more.
There are no real words in which to completely express what this show meant to me. I can only thank those who kept the show so fresh and entertaining for so many years. It has inspired me to do many things that I thought was impossible.
I look forward to the movies next year and I really hope there will be a number of them. I never want the show to die.

Deja Vu (2006)
Time Travel has never been so Boring!!!!!
I went into this movie, not expecting much and believe it or not that is exactly what I got. This was another Hollywood attempt to be creative and imaginative. They came no where close... Like in the past, with 'Back to the Future', Deja Vu attempts to have fun with the prospect of time travel. But unlike 'Back to the Future' this was not fun.
I am a guy who loves his science fiction movies, from Donnie Darko to Primer. I was blown away by these films...
Jeja Vu was a non-stop, time traveling disaster. The plot was weak, the characters you couldn't care less what happens to them and as for the science behind the time traveling... well... lets just say they bought a book called 'Time Travel for Beginners'. There was no suspense and everything seemed to fall into a perfectly neat package. Oh and as for the shocking ending, as Jerry Bruckhimer said on a interview, I'm still waiting for it.
If you want to just switch off the brain because you had a hard day, watch this film. If you are a time travel fanatic and sci-fi buff avoid at all costs. Because you will end up wanting to go back in time to tell yourself not to go see it.
