Marco Polo: Hug (2016)
just direspectful
Any show takes his libertys with history. but this is just plain disrespectful. we know wat did happen and to change it like this shows this series has no longer a reason to be continued.
the acting was good but that can't save the series from the trash writing
Marco Polo (2014)
good but not shure wat it wants
Good acting and production. first season has a slow pace but I rather like that. it lets you grow into the series. verry promissing
2nd season feels more confused it seems like they try to be more like got and that is a big mistake. we don't need a second got and this series stood on his own. It doesn't need to show nudity for the sake of more naked woman. and some acts of brutality would be unexeptable for mongols of the time.
that being said i started skipping a lot of the unnesseary nudity and that show i would give a 9
Europe from Above: The Netherlands (2019)
nice show but titled incorrectly
The show is nice but the title is incorrect. it purely focussus on holland not het netherlands. they show an eastern town but that's it, the hilly south with it's forests, historic roman ruins and limestone buildings and cave's aren't mentioned. neither are the friesian towns build on hills to protect against the water, drente with it's ancient hunnebeds or zeeland who had the worst fight against the sea.
I do understand you can't put in everything. but if you focus on only 2 of the 12 provinses change the name.
Bridgerton (2020)
don't take it to seriously
If you like historical correctness in a show this one isn't for you. however if you want to get away from reality for an afternoon and like a bit of gossipy romance I deffinitly reccoment it.
It looks stunning, the acting is good and the characters are well develloped. the multible stories are a bit predictable but I gess that belongs to the genre.
Don't go in this expecting a trilling show. Just get yourself cuddled up on your couch with some thee and enjoy
Zoo: The Silence of the Cicadas (2015)
just ignore any logic
The first episodes weren't bad. shure the story was a bit strange but most series need a few episodes to start up. and there were a few odd things like young male loins are known to sometimes move in male packs of brothers, there are no lionesses who are better equiped to hunt.
but here they just ignore reason. a horses best weapon is not his theeth it is his hoofs. besides just because animals get the abilitie to coordinate does not mean they get superpowers. bats can't fly higher unless they physically change. and wolves can not open closed prison doors.
The Crown: Gold Stick (2020)
odly trilling
Really like this one. i think we all knew what was going to happen. and the show did not try to pretend otherwise, respected it and still managed to be trilling. I'm not completly shure about Thatcher, but she is a hard one to get right.
The Crown: Fairytale (2020)
not believable
I normally like this show. and I normally simpathys with the diana story but this episode really anoyed me. it feels as if the writers ignore the character development they created in earlier episodes only to give the audions te naive sweet prinses they think it wants.
besides that it doesn't make sence. how can it be that in the last episode it seemed like diana knew all the etikets and now after the proposel she knows none. they alle adore her but then only look down at her. we are told she needs as much training as she can get. and then is left all alone. She shows she is lonely but only attempts to call the queen and her fiancee. were are her old friends, parents or sister. and why not try calling any other member of the household.
the acting was fine but that is all this episode has speaking for it.
It was not a story but a judgement. the evil family that distroyed the innocent. problem is innocent got so sweet she came of as mental and made my hair stand up. I really wish i hadn't watched it
