The Frame (2014)
3rd act is the best part
Over all this movie is average. Especially the first act, it's a sleeper and you're really not sure what direction the movie is going or what it's even about. The second act picks up and it has more direction but I was just along for the ride, but the ride wasn't a roller coaster... it was more like I was driving down a highway on the plains. I will admit, there was one emotional scene that did get me choked up, so props there. Thankfully, the last act made up for it all and had a scene which brought cohesiveness to where movie gets it's title and made the movie worth a watch. The special effects in this act were great!
Dexter: New Blood (2021)
I don't know why they even bothered!!
I just watched the original series for the first time and I enjoyed it and went straight into this remake.
I don't know why they even bothered to make it with all the plot holes and the crap ending!! If you're a fan of the original series I highly recommend that you completely skip this because you will not be happy with any aspect of it. I take that back, you'll like seeing Dexter, "Jim" for about the first 30 min. Of episode one because of nostalgia. But that's about it because he's no longer the Dexter we know and love, not even when he's being his Dark Passenger is he the same. Again, I wouldn't bother.
Sweet Magnolias (2020)
Season 2 Is a Christians Dream
The first Season was an enjoyable sisterhood of friends. I don't know why they chose to change the tone of Season 2 to a Christian Series but that's exactly what they did. I'm religious but I couldn't take overload of God Bless this and that etc. It's literally used like a comma in a sentence, it's just SO much!!
The Murders at Starved Rock (2021)
Ugh Seriously! *Spoiler*
I gave a gracious 5* for the work put into the Documentary. However, if you're not going to have the results from the DNA Lab work to reveal guilty or not guilty until 2022, fu***ng DON'T release your Documentary until 2022! After watching the three episodes and coming to our own conclusions, then just when you're waiting for the big reveal, it's psych ... the end.
Val (2021)
An actors portrayal of an actor
If you're looking for a Documentary to reveal the story of Val Kilmer's vanishing from Film and Television. This is not the Doc for you.
This is an Actors self portrayal and films of his life over 40 years. He skirts over that he lost his voice and stopped performing and never goes into any details of the tragedy. In my view this should have been the basis of this documentary at its core! This is a self portrayal of his life, family and his personal loss - the end.
