Most of the people find movies with a deep message boring, because the plot moves around gradually and the climax is not interesting enough, yet I find such movies inspiring; the climax is mesmerising if one attentively goes with the flow and the message leaves a strong footprint on the audience's mind. So, if you find it interesting to discuss ideas, then this movie is a must watch. It is based on a movement that is getting stronger as I am writing this review. That movement must not be named;therefore, go watch yourself!

Despite a good theme, great acting and important messages that this movie convey in an unorthodox way, I think it fails to connect the audience with the storyline and leaves him in a world of confusion. Although, majority of reviews find this movie entertaining and interesting, yet I would choose to be a minority that believes that this movie is extremely overrated.

The miniseries gives a brief overview of Alexander's life and myths associated with him; however, it has avoided the details regarding the battles he fought- by details I mean a meticulous analysis of his strategies in warfare- and his role as a governor. Despite these shortcomings, the series is superior to other documentaries and movies created on his life.
