Dota: Dragon's Blood (2021)
You're in for a treat!
I have never heard of Dota or knew about this video game in any shape and form previous to binging this series - to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Even as someone who doesn't tend to like anime, the execution of this series was extremely well done. Plot was well paced and thickened quite nicely. I was worried that the plot would be confusing for someone who's never played the game, but everything unraveled in a way that was easy to understand. The characters are intriguing, although not a whole lot of development yet. I assume this will be touched on more in season 2 (which I am desperately waiting for!)

Pure Gold! (no pun intended hahaha)
To the people claiming that the characters are overacting; this is a COMEDY. And an excellent slapstick one at that. The show really picks up pace after episode 4, and it doesn't stop - the twists and turns are endless. Not a lot of kdramas can keep my attention for the whole run, but this definitely takes the cake for suspense, drama and the laughs. Take it for what it is, a slick and gloriously over the top kdrama.

Scary if I were 6 yrs old
Graphics are not realistic, at one point I was laughing at how ridiculous the "monsters" looked. One of them looked exactly like a Halloween mask bought at the dollar store.
The show also focuses on wayyyy too many characters, to point where you're confused on the importance of their role. Back and forth between characters, constantly. A lot of scenes had no importance nor did they add any complexity to the storyline. The timeline of the scenes also make no sense, leaving you frustrated. Overall a super messy show.
Watch this only if you're under lockdown and have binged everything else on Netflix.
