Tomorrow's Child (1982)
A movie of scientific studies!
This movie came out when all the genetics testing and test tube babies were being experimented with. This movie experiments with the same concept. A baby being born outside the mother's body, in a laboratory. IMO, I enjoyed the movie. I'm a sucker for baby movies and this one touched me. At the time it was made, the concept seemed highly unlikely, or very farfetched, but now, it seems more babies are entering the world due to science and technology everyday. A must see, IMO. :)
The Babysitter (1980)
Good or Garbage?
Well, I bought this movie for the fact that Stephanie Zimbalist (Laura Holt of Remington Steele) played a leading role in it. Everything I had seen of hers was pretty good so far, and I'm a Remington addict, so I figured this would be good as well. I was mistaken. It wasn't exactly garbage. If written differently, it could've been a really good movie. The category in which it's categorized is all wrong as well. This is definitely not a suspense or horror film. There was no blood or gore, which is what I describe a horror film as to be. As far as suspenseful goes, it almost meets that category, as I said, if written better. My opinion, the writing stunk. The storyline could've been extremely better. It's definitely not a movie you'd view more than once, IMO.
The Awakening (1980)
Worthwhile, or worthless?
IMO, this movie is worthless. It could've been a fabulous movie, if the writing had been more thought out, and the actors had fit their parts. Charlton Heston, IMO, didn't fit the part for the lead character, otherwise, all the other characters were cast perfectly. The ideas were great as well, but it was getting them on paper that the writer apparently had problems with. Also this movie has no ending. It's kind of like a cliff hanger. I personally don't like movies like that, unless there's a sequel, which there wasn't. I wouldn't waste my money on this movie, even though I already have. It's one of those dust collecting movies. You'll watch it once and never again. A big disappointment, IMO.
Prison of Secrets (1997)
A TV Movie with great promise
Although the movie could've been written better it does have great promise. The story line is definitely believeable, but it wasn't written as a very serious matter, IMO. It seemed that the characters could've been better written. The title does fit the movie well, but that's about it. I would recommend this movie to any Stephanie Zimbalist, (former Laura Holt of Remington Steele), or anyone that likes rap related movies. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend it, unless you enjoy passable tv movies. If I weren't such a big Stephanie Zimbalist fan this would've been one movie I would've passed up. Stephanie, IMO, gives a great performance and that performance is what makes this movie passable, otherwise it wouldn't be fit for viewing.
Whose Daughter Is She? (1995)
Fantabulous
I happened upon this movie by accident and I loved every minute of it. From what I remember it was great. Both Joanna Kerns and Stephanie Zimbalist played their roles fabulously. IMO, the best tv movie I've ever seen. I recommend this movie to any fan of either Joanna Kerns or Stephanie Zimbalist. You won't regret watching this one. A fabulous tv movie.
