Star Trek: The Next Generation: Cause and Effect (1992)
Great episode and interesting plot
I normally like time related episodes and this is no exception. The story was solid and it unraveled well. My only "gripe" is the ending. The Bozeman crew were caught up in the time loop for approximately 80 years yet the Enterprise crew realized in about 15 days that's something was wrong with feelings of deja vu. Why didn't the Bozeman crew realize they were stuck in groundhog day after all that time? Still love the episode.
Titanic II (2010)
So bad it's good. No. Wait...
I love watching so bad they're good films but this was just plain bad. Speaking to my sister about the experience, I summed it up as visual effects so awful they reminded me of the graphics in a computer game I played on an Amstrad as a child. An Amstrad! I followed that up with weird dinosaur sound effects when the floating ice cube hit the ship and water started to flood the place, so out of place I thought I was watching Titanic 2 vs T-Rex. Then "killed by door" made me think of a terrible Final Destination spoof. Awful acting by the main characters and the extras must have been found wandering outside a mental facility because I had no clue what they were doing, neither did they and neither did the director who unleashed this ridiculous film on the world.
90210 Shark Attack (2014)
SPOILERS. This film is just BAD. Horrendously bad
For started, nobody is actually attacked by a shark and nobody gets anywhere near the sea. The "director" fills this disastrous film with random copy and paste shots of sharks swimming about every two minutes and they have absolutely nothing to do with the film!
About 15 minutes are spent on a girl watching a guy splash around in a pool (the closest anybody gets to being in water by the way!) as the camera goes back and forth between the stupefied expression on her face and his chest. THEN we get to see more of the same guy the director obviously has a crush on as he caresses his chest in the shower (I have never seen a guy shower this way before).
The entire film takes place in a HOUSE where we literally get to see how the cast walk from one end of it to the other in excruciating detail. The cost of the house must have been where the budget was wasted, but the continuous shots of Beverly Hills, the one stock panoramic view of the coast and the filthy jacuzzi with peeling paint etc were ridiculous and a way to pad the film's run time. Their acting skills are laughable but given the weak premise and dialogue, I don't know if I can blame them. No sharks were harmed in the making of this movie. If I could rate this film with a 0 I would. The ONLY shark film that takes place entirely on land and doesn't feature sharks.
Edge of Fear (2018)
Prison Break 2.0?
For the first five minutes, I was completely confused about what I was watching as four or five actors with roles in Prison Break made an appearance. That was where my curiosity died a cruel death because this film is predictable beyond belief. There were no plot twists and I could see the ending a mile away, which is a shame because I like many of the featured actors. Don't waste your time and find a Robert Patrick film that actually showed his skills instead. My first review because this film was THAT bad!
