The Suicide Squad (2021)
Enjoyable
If you're looking for a really fun action movie, I'd put this at the top of the list. It doesn't try too hard, it just does exactly what it needs to. I actually really enjoyed James Gunn's style in this setting.
Django Unchained (2012)
I am Jenteze Payne
I am gay. Tarantino sux. Finally out of the closet.
Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
Masterpiece of this genre.
There's nothing in this genre remotely this good aside from the prequel. I almost want to compare it to interstellar, but I think it's a little better. If you enjoyed the first one at all, I recommend this one. It's improved upon the first with better visuals, and engaging story that makes you pay attention but never grows boring. Only reason it doesn't get a 10 is I'm not sure it quite deserves it, but this is definitely a masterpiece I choose over the original any day.
Days of Thunder (1990)
Guilty pleasure
Guilty pleasure for me. Works better than Top Gun for me.
Inside Llewyn Davis (2013)
Maybe my favorite Coen brother's film
If you enjoy folk music, melancholy films, character studies or any alike this is a must watch. Not a traditional movie about a musician, it takes a very different route as most Coen movies do, but it has all the heart and soul to carry it for me.
Color Out of Space (2019)
If ari aster made a the thing movie and it had amazing cinematography.
First off, the cinematography for this movie is top notch. Some of the prettiest colors I've seen on film.
Nic Cage is amazing as always.
The ending isn't strong, but it's not too bad. 6.5/10
Some of the creature effects weren't great, but most of it was pretty good. It's kinda weird, but a lot of this movie is so beautiful I can't look away, but then there's some really tense moments too.
I'm bad at reviewing, but if this looks even a little interesting check it out.
The Karate Kid (1984)
A classic
This movie is a classic that has aged fairly well, and is one of my favorite coming to age movies.
The Squid and the Whale (2005)
Deep
I give this film an 9 not because it's ground breaking or changed my life. It just felt very real, and had a bit of psychology that I enjoy. An underrated movie, and the only Jesse eisenberg performance I have the patience for.
The Muppets. (2015)
The office but with muppets
If you enjoy the muppets as I do, you will enjoy this show. Nothing ground breaking but a pretty fun mockumentary.
Lost in Translation (2003)
Good.
I can see why so many people love this movie and why some hate. Great performances and directing that you can really feel. Unfortunately for me this movie doesn't have much for me to latch onto.
Blue's Clues: Steve Goes to College (2002)
Just be honest
To be honest you're only reading this because it's 3 am and you've gotten trapped in the rabbit hole of the internet. You're also probably younger than 24. I haven't even seen this episode we all know it deserves a 10 though.
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
As intimidating as old movies are, it's definitely worth a watch
I recently watched this for the first time. Aside from a few things this movie has aged very well.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Fine. Not great.
This movie fits well in the MCU being a weaker part of a whole. I don't have a whole lot of good to say of this movie other than it's an MCU movie. Some of the side characters are fun?? It has good action and set pieces?? Brie Larson's acting is a more cocky, less likable Tony Stark wannabe. No empowering moment. Forgettable storyline.
