Time Bomb Y2K (2023)
I Lived Through This as a Computer Tech
I lived through this, and, other than some software patches that were needed, it was much ado about something that could be fixed easily enough. They are showing the fringes of people that let themselves be swayed by doomsday messages. Most people that I knew at the time weren't too concerned. They knew nothing catastrophic would happen and they knew the software patches were being handled. Y2K was akin to the Mayan Calendar scare of 2012. You either believed it and waited for the end or you went on with your life as usual because you knew it was the media overblown fear mongering pushing the doom and gloom. It isn't very accurate, but it's not entirely wrong.

Flawed Concepts, but Entertaining.
This is quite entertaining if you can get past the fact that none of the "facts" stated here are. In fact, facts. Almost all the "facts" about the brain and humans have been proven untrue. Ignore that fact and this movie is very entertaining and it will definitely entertain you. Had it not been that the facts were almost all incorrect, I would have rated it an 8 or 9. Presenting myths as facts does diminish the movie, but not so badly that it isn't entertaining. It can be a fun movie as long as one doesn't believe that anything said during science lectures is true. It has merit still in the "what if" aspect and she plays the part wonderfully. It's worth watching just for that.
Book Club: The Next Chapter (2023)
Reducing some of the most iconic actors of the time to "girls".
This movie has the same issue as the first one. I could never really finish either of them. They are some of the greatest female actors since the 60s and still are some of the best. Unfortunately, the films have reduced them to "supposed" strong women who only really got fulfilled once they had a man in their lives again. Same old story women have been saddled with pretty much forever. Even when they play a "powerful" character, they spend their time trying to look sexy and being helpless in any respect except for their chosen career. It's really time for those tired preconceived notions to be thrown out the window in the 21st century. Nothing wrong with romance, but older women are NOT this! Most of the most competent, strongest people I have ever met were older women except for the few that had dementia.

Not What I Expected
I looked forward to watching this movie because it has Katharine Ross and Sam Elliott. I love both actors. I didn't get even 10 minutes into the movie when I realized they are perpetuating elder myths that elderly people are out of touch with the world. As an elder female computer tech, I was offended by how incompetent they made Katharine Ross look. I find that disappointing. The current bunch of elderly did grow up with tech and, while there are some that aren't "techies", most of us are at least familiar with the names DOS through Windows 7. Then some of us can fix a PC, Mac or Linux machine, too.
The same thing happened when I tried too watch Book Club. Within the first 20 minutes of the movie, I was so offended that I could scarcely even finish the movie much less enjoy it! Hollywood, movies that make elderly people look like fools offend those very elderly that you want to watch the film! As an elderly woman that is a certified computer tech, I know that even the oldies that aren't knowledgeable aren't as bad as this. I know a lady that's 103 that gets around her computer just fine. All she needs me for is to do the maintenance on it. I couldn't find enough redeeming things in the movie to warrant finishing it.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Rule 91 (2021)
Out with the old and in with the new isn't working!
The introduction of the mediocre Jack Sloane was tolerable, but the new agent Knight is just not a good fit as an NCIS agent and, if she stays and Gibbs goes, I'll absolutely stop watching the show. The chemistry has been going off already and the new addition makes that even worse. Add to that the loss of other key characters and I believe it's time to bow out gracefully.
Fatman (2020)
???
This movie should never have been made. I love Gibson an Jean-Baptiste and they acted well, but the entire premise of this comedy was horrible. Spoiled rich kid who orders servants around and steals from his sick grandma and hires a hit man to kill Santa. It's supposed to be funny? I don't think so!
