Dirty Dancing (1987)
Great fun
Great fun. Love the old days? Ever been to camp or an organized resort? Ever been young, at loose ends and a bit of an ugly duckling?
This movie has great tunes and electricity between the main characters.
Like to move your feet? Like watching people dance? This movie has Ups and Downs all over the place. Romance, Parenting, Life lessons.
And then there is Patrick. Check it out. Nice scenery, whether it's human
or nature. And lessons to learn.
Flashdance (1983)
Wow....
Verve, beauty, reality.
This is no cinematic epic but the story is electric. Small town gal breaks into a man's world while aspiring to be a dancer.
Romance, some Pittsburgh clips. (yep, i grew up around there.)
Great music, choreography. Makes me cry every time when I FEEL what this gal wants and I want her to get it. I had to buy this movie because I think it is very inspirational in an artistic way.
National Lampoon's Animal House (1978)
Pure fun.
I saw this move in the theatre when it came out and I loved it.
When it came out on video I bought it and have watched it many times.
it is timeless and classic if you were a bit rambunctious when you were young. Like good music? It's here. Like romance? It's here.Like comedy? It's here. Pranks too. It's got messages many probably never saw in it. I sure wish John Belushi was still around. The hi-jinks that go on are funny, and on retrospect almost 20 years now, sad and meaningful too. Every time I see it I need to jump around with the music. And the
pushing of the envelope with authority is also classic but pure fun. I am thankful that this movie is still around to lighten my days and give me the rebellion feeling when I need it. Food Fight!
