Brilliant old school revenge
13 January 2020
I have to say that this was a brilliant film. With the UK the way it is, the law being taken into your own hands seems ever more real than ever. An unforgiving killer against the drug dealing scum of London whilst the police have to work out the reason for it. It is Death Wish with twists and turns you only find on a corkscrew.

Some good humour and references to other films and TV, I personally loved the Simpsons bit, it was a refreshing change from half of the rubbish that is released nowadays.

If you want a good film with a nice little twist, then watch this film.

Always good to see Ray Donovan and never more so than in this true story that inspired the Rocky movies.

Well put together movie with a well time narration throughout, they done a great job with setting this film in the 70's

Nice easy watch and very well filmed I thought the narration worked perfect with what was happening, solid acting and a good choice of cast,

I found the story really interesting even though I know the outcome of the Ali fight I was still cheering Chuck on.

Solid movie

Some great true story movies coming out lately and this one is no exception, there are some truly brave people on planet earth.

With a solid cast and a great true story this was an easy watch.

This really captures the breath taking yet scary scenes these fire fighters have to deal with, impressive true but sad story with some solid acting making this a good easy watch.

Almost too secret - worth a watch

This one slipped under the radar, went into this not knowing anything about it, glad a give it a shot.

From the start I was hooked, very graphic open scenes to set up a who did it investigation story

Very solid story that keeps you on the edge of your seats from start to finish, impressive twist of events at the end that I didn't see coming.

The trailer popped up and looked good so as usual I jumped on to IMDb to get a bit of info, found out it's from the same people that done Ex-machina so I was sold.

It's a slow burner but works with the story took about 30 minutes until I was hooked on what was going on.

Natalie Portman is always great in her roles and this is no exception she does an amazing job in this movie.

I really enjoyed this but was left with questions, I feel like I need to watch it again to make sure I got what happened at the end or talk with someone that has seen it.

It has a Aliens meets Predator meets Interstellar feel to it, loved the way the story interacted with the locations and the bit with the bear.

Inspirited by an actual F.B.I report on a Miami shootout

Enjoyed this so much when i watched it at the cinema that I had to watch it again, didn't have the same spark it did the first time but i still really liked it.

With so many great characters all locked in a small warehouse with a disaster situation and its black comedy edge it makes a great watch but I do think this will be a Marmite film where you either love it or hate it.

Solid performance from the cast and a great story all set in one location with more gun fire then a Texas shooting range, add in some 70's black comedy and the awesome Armie Hammer, Cillian Mrphy and Sharlto Copley and you got a kick-ass film.

Another movie that slipped through my film radar but thanks to Netflix I managed to get to see it.

Very clever story that keeps you guessing from the start topped off with a great twist.

Excellent beginning with a very clever way of linking all the characters together, I was really impressed with the 'Who did it' story that kept me guessing right until the end, If you're a Thriller/Horror fan this is one for you.

London Heist

Always been a huge gangster movie fan and even more so British gangster movies but like the horror genre it has become very hard to find a good one,

Kept seeing this pop up on Netflix but didn't know anything about it other than it starred a couple of good British actors so thought I'd give it ago,

Right from the start I was into it, it had all the DNA to make a great movie and to be honest it's a really good solid movie and I'd recommend it to any crime movie fan,

Craig Fairbrass and Nick Moran nailed it for me, Fairbrass pulling off the hard-man role he has nailed so many times in the past and Nick Moran returning to he's character in Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels only this time he is an old school dodgy looking police officer.

Packs the same punch as a '38

Last night I was flicking through my movie collection when this film popped up. so not knowing much about it other than remembering I'd seen a trailer on Facebook ages ago and thinking to myself it looked good.

From the start I was hooked, They use the monster of a dog's point of view which is very sinister and worked perfectly throughout the movie.

We are then introduced to three Criminals in one of the coolest locations I've seen in ages.

It's a well-paced story, great cinematography and solid acting from all the cast,

This movie nailed three things for me, the POV from the Dog, The location and the flash back stories from the cast, making this a great interesting movie to watch.

Not a fine wine

This was the example of first time indie film making greatness that now seems so dated now.

Doesn't hold up.

Better than Lock,Stock and everything that followed
23 May 2019
This is the film that Guy got right after the tester film that was Lock, Stock... and then went on to make flaw after flaw.

The Mockney filmmaker with his silver spoon in his mouth must prey to the gods for the this one ever coming to the screen as this is one heck of a film with so many quotable lines and 3 dimensional characters.

Well worth the repeatable watch ***
