Doua inimi (2022)
who the hell wrote this abomination?
It took me:
- 1 minute to realize the Romanian used here is not spoken by anyone in Romania
- 2 minutes to realize that the writer(s) probably had a stroke when they wrote this crap
- 3 minutes to figure out most of the plot.
I do not understand why anyone would try to do this at all.
The actors are like random people chosen from the street.
The language is forced, artificial.
The plot is simpler than what I was "reading" in the coloring books I had before the 1st grade.
The soundtrack seems to be made for a thriller, and has nothing so do with the scenes.
Lastly, what perplexed me the most is that this seems to be a portrayal of young Romanians nowadays... Which is extremely sad, unfortunately.
The Grey (2011)
Neeson's best
"Once more into the fray.../ Into the last good fight I'll ever know.../ To live and die on this day.../ To live and die on this day..."
What is true to us today / Tomorrow will have been forgotten / To cry and strive on this day... / To cry and strive on this day...
None of us would dare to say / Life's only reason's found in death / Every breath draws us closer to this day.../ Every breath draws us closer to this day...
He who doubts when on the sleigh / Shall not reach his lonely path / Grinding teeth will find their way / Grinding teeth will find their way
While the one who's bird of prey / Yet he does confess his awe / Shall never take the easy way / Shall never take the easy way
John Wick (2014)
Headshot
The scenes that are seen in the trailer pale in comparison with what this movie has to offer, action-wise.
Keanu Reeves is once again proving that he can still be a total bad ass while also showing grief, anger, sorrow and love in the same movie.
Basically, the movie is about an ex hit-man who gets crossed by the son of an old Russian business partner and the story of said hit-man getting back what's been taken from him...
We have a good performance delivery by Michael Nyqvist, who, even if being predictable at times, manages to get on everybody's nerves with his proverbs, including Keanu's character. Nonetheless, the antagonism is pretty well built, in my opinion.
Don't expect too much drama, the story line is very simple and blunt, yet, expect plenty of hurting and.... head-shots!
Serbuan maut 2: Berandal (2014)
The best martial arts movie of the last decade
This is the first time I write a review for a movie. Normally I wouldn't bother doing this kind of things, but after going outside in the garden and beating the first tree I saw until my hands were left numb, I chose to express my feelings in writing too (after i took a half an hour rest, that is). First of all, "The raid: redemption" was unbeaten in its time. The action scenes, the stunts, the choreography, everything was almost perfect. It was lacking a real story line.
This time, the viewer had it all. Everyone delivered their lines nicely and every action scene was being built up suspensefully, until the bang of every fight. Even the inner stories were amazingly built, though only briefly: 'Koso, Eka and others were given enough screen time when they mattered to make you care for each of them. What can I say? Bravo!
Lost in Translation (2003)
Lost In Perfection
I simply think that "Lost In Translation" Is A Perfect Movie and it's my favorite. I Think that Scarlett Johansson is another wonder Of the world she's so beautiful and natural in acting and Bill Murray has done in LIT the best role of his career. This movie should have taken all the Oscars in 2003 because it's an a absolutely wonderful picture. I've watched LOST IN TRANSLATION over 50 times and i'm absolutely enchanted and sad at the same time.My favorite line is when Bob tells Charlotte:"I don't want to leave"and Scarlett replies:"So don't;Stay here with me we'll start a jazz band". LOST IN TRANSLATION is the most original film ever made.
