Not happy with this!!
2 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
So they've gone PC, killed off James Bond and replacing him with a black female. This is blasphemy to the Bond franchise. I will never watch another Bond film again. Should have let the franchise die if you couldn't find a proper replacement.

A Wonderful Apocalyptic Movie
1 January 2005
In response to the post by a misguided and biased 'bekayess from Orlando, FL', this is a fine movie about the possibility of a nuclear attack. Instead of reviewing the qualities of this movie and an appearance from Soprano's star Nancy Marchand, he chooses to belittle our President. Taken place in a remote and quiet rural town, a warning buzzer sounds off in a school. With communication cut off and no way of verifying the warning, officials dismiss the school and some of the children must walk home with teachers. Fears unfold and tension rises between adults and children. I only wish this movie was available. I caught it on an early Saturday morning a few years ago, and haven't seen it replayed since. Would be a great addition to ones collection, regardless of bekayess unwarranted comments.

What were they thinking of?
8 February 2004
This movie was hard to follow with it's myriad of flashbacks. The current state of Hollywood action flicks is pretty sad, as they have given up realism for sensationalism. In one scene, Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek awoke from bed only to find two baddies drawing a bead on them from street level with automatic weapons. In the shootout in which it seems hundreds of rounds were fired, and Banderas and Hayek were slow in fleeing the scene, not once were they even nicked with a bullet. It seems like the bad guys in this movie were all terrible shots and only the 'good' guys had keen marksmanship. And I lost count on how many rounds were spent from Banderas' two-shot sawed off shotgun before he re-loaded. Gimme a break. I understand a little 'suspension of belief' in movies, but this was too much. And Banderas, to me, is no actor. Who made him so??? The best part of this film? Any scene with Salma Hayek in it. Well in my opinion, this movie wasn't worth the film it was printed on. A waste of a good cast, other than Banderas, on a film even a juvenile can see through. Sheesh!!

My Partner the Ghost (1969–1971)
Extremely Funny
1 March 2003
The last time I've seen this show was on re-runs in the 70's, approximately 1977. Hard to forget the show. Great theme song, beautiful girl, fabulous 60's, and a unique situation. To others who couldn't see Marty, Jeff was often seen talking to himself, making for some hilarious moments. I would love to see, or own, the series again.

Cool 60's detective flick
31 March 2002
I saw this movie on late night TV in the early 70"s while still in high school and was quite intrigued by it. James Garner plays Marlowe, witty private eye. Story begins innocently enough, pretty girl walks in and hires him to find her brother. While following up on some leads the case evolves into murder, blackmail, gangsters, and Bruce Lee! Friend and student Stirling Silliphant helped Bruce Lee out early in his career and wrote a couple of nice scenes for him. As in all his films, Lee explodes and leaves little doubt as to whom the star is. Unfortunately this is Garner's movie, and Lee makes a memorable 'exit'. I found the movie enjoyable, and suspenseful. Years later after Lee became a household name, I saw the movie again and forgotten some of the supporting actors which made this movie so good. Great cast includes Jackie Coogan (Addams Family), Carroll O'Connor (All in the Family), and sexy Rita Moreno and Gayle Hunnicutt. If you're a fan of 60's detective movies, watch it. Watch it, for nothing else, for Bruce Lee's stunning performance.

TOTALLY AWESOME
29 August 2000
They say sequels never surpass the original. This one does, BIG TIME! Besides the special effects, and they are great, is the sheer terror and hopelessness the main characters are in. How do you stop a relentless, ruthless killing machine? Linda Hamilton was superb in T2.(I fell in love with that body!) She was almost as unstoppable as the machine in her pursuit of saving her son and mankind. I'm not a fan of your basic Sci-fi special effects. Snarling aliens drooling slime all over their victims, and gross mutant alien-babies popping out of humans don't thrill me. But it T2, Cameron does it best, it's more believable. With technology these things could happen. I was blown out of my seat with the EXTREME special effects, and chase scenes. This is the best action movie I have ever seen, BY FAR! If this movie doesn't blow you away, you better check your pulse rate. My recommendations? See it on a big screen and crank up the volume.
