Air America (1998–1999)
Another waste of time

I can't believe the lead actor Lorenzo Lamas went from doing something as good as Renegade to something like this. There is no story line at all in this series, the only saving grace is that it does has some rather nice looking women in it. But I'd prefer it if the show had a decent story line. The show remind me a lot of Acapulco Heat but is no way near as good, or funny.

Airwolf (1987)
Waste of Time
8 September 2000
I loved the original Airwolf series, it was big and bold and a joy to watch. The action sequences and story lines were as good as could be expected. A great show. However this version which I often call Canadian Airwolf due to the number of actors in it who never seemed to have made it out of cheap Canadian TV programmes is an utter disgrace to the original show. It's so obvious that the action sequences have been put together by taking clips from the original series and then having the writers make up some sort of boring storyline around it. There simply aren't words to describe how bad this version of Airwolf is. They should have put the original team together to make a movie or something, not done this.

Airwolf (1984–1986)
A classic

What a great TV show, that deserves to have been made into a movie, the flying squences are great, the cast were so right. The only stain on the series are the people that tried to remake the series on a home movie budget and replaced all the actors from the original series. This is a show that deserves to be rerun for many years to come.

In the Heat of the Night (1988–1995)
Simply Art in Motion

How often have you seen them take a movie and try and turn it into a TV series? Moreover how many times has that series been just about the worse thing you've ever watched? ...Well forget it all those pass worries when you see in the heat of the night. This truly is a wonderful TV show. All the main characters are very warm.

The only criticism I have of the show it that in many episodes the audience are misleaded. We see a killer for example act naturally surprised when someone informs him of the death of his victims for example. So you exclude him from your list of suspects.

But apart from that, a very nice TV show. At this moment I just can't think of a better movie to TV conversion.

Killing Time (1998)
The Best Female Assassin Yet!!

The movie isn't really that good. People on low budgets shouldn't make action movies unless they plan to do a lot of martials arts in them. However Kendra Torgan is an absolute babe, the fact she barely speaks English in the movie just adds to her mystery. I don't know much about this actress, but would certainly look forward to seeing her in a movie that makes more of her obvious talents. There are some quite funny bits in the movie, like when she is trying to shoot an apple off one of her captive's head. Also the way she walks around with a learn English tape is amusing and it's nice the way the tape comes in handy at the end of the movie. On the whole though I'd only give the movie 4 out of 10.

Drew Barrymore Does Well
29 June 2000
This is by far the best adaptation of the Cinderella story I have ever seen.

The two ugly sisters are not ugly but both very pretty, but of course the show is stolen by Drew Barrymore herself, playing a determined young lady who strives to do good.

Clearly this is the kind of movie Drew should be doing more of. She is absolutely delightful in the lead role and her English accent is quite sweet.

Angelica Houston who plays the wicked step mother is excellent in this role, playing a character that is not simply evil but adding a more complex set of emotions to the role.

The locations are lovely and so too are the costumes. This is such a lovely movie. No fancy special effects, no big action sequences, just a lot of old fashioned romance.

This movie probably is one for the ladies, but any guys with a romantic side will like this movie.

Diamond gives it 9 out of 10.
