Whatever Works (2009)
SPOILER: This entire movie can be summed up in one sentence.
Do whatever the hell you want as long as you don't directly hurt anyone else.
That's the entire movie in a single sentence. If you're Christian, like guns, or think faithfulness to a spouse is important, you probably won't like this movie too much. It is the Bohemian philosophy at it's peak. The movie strives to be intellectual, while appealing to the lowest of human instincts. It tries to enlighten by condescending.
This is Hollywood intellectualism at its finest. It concerns a bitter old man who hates life and everything in it, and at the end, comes to the decision that whatever makes you happy in life is something you should embrace. Of course, the irony - if that happiness comes from worshiping a God or trying to make your marriage work, then embracing it might not be such a good idea. It stereotypes the south, it stereotypes Christians, Jews, or anyone of faith - and yet mocks those same people for their supposed stereotypical perceptions and bigotries. The ol' Hollywood double-standard.
In sum, a really, really stupid movie.
I really want my $1.08 and my 90 minutes back.
From Justin to Kelly (2003)
LOL. This sucks.
OK. Any movie which, after shortly coming out to the theaters, gets voted into the #2 spot for the WORST MOVIES OF ALL TIME - has got to suck. Hopefully those trying to exploit the hype of the American Idol TV Show, realized what an aweful mistake they have made in creating this cinematic abomination.
L.I.N.X. (2000)
GREAT movie!
Amazing, intense story. Great movie all-around, it's too bad this didn't have a major Hollywood name behind it to push it to the theaters, I think it would have done exceedingly well. Nevertheless, if you can get a hold of it - check it out.
Blade II (2002)
This movie kicks ass
Ok, I didn't think it was as good as the first one, though there was an obvious improvement in the special effects - but this movie really rocked. My wife who didn't particularly like the first one absolutely loved this one. The action scenes were amazing, and though it looked like Blade was gonna get all sappy towards the vampires - (especially the girl), he still kicked ass. And it had an awesome ending - comparable to the ending in Russia in the first movie.
