This third season of Digimon is my favorite so far. It expands the non-battle portion of the show, focusing instead on character development and interaction. To me this makes for much more interesting viewing than simply concentrating on fighting.

Tamers really explores the relationships between between the Tamers and their Digimon partners, and between the Digimon themselves. The Digimon are presented as actual characters with feelings and motivations of their own, instead of just one dimensional bodyguards and sidekicks.

The English dubbing seems pretty good in this one as well. Guilmon and Renamon in particular sound very close to their original Japanese voices.

To put it simply, Grand Theft Auto 3 is one of the very best video games, or any form of entertainment for that matter, ever made.

You've probably heard about how graphically violent this game is, and there's certainly no denying it. People (criminals, gang members, cops, pedestrians, etc.) can be murdered in a variety of entertaining ways, but GTA3 isn't about mindless mayhem. The game is actually story driven, and that, combined with awesome gameplay (driving being a main factor of course) is what really puts it over the top. It's quite an experience as you rise through the ranks from petty Jack-of-all-trades thug-for-hire to a millionaire. Chock full of tons of fun missions, from carjacking to assassinations to body disposal and anything else your employer needs you to do.

Enough of my pretentious praise though. If you haven't played Grand Theft Auto 3 yet, what are you waiting for?!

"Perversions of Science" was one of the most interesting shows I've ever seen. The episodes were very diverse and always refreshingly strange. My favorite (called "Dream of Doom") concerned a man who couldn't wake up, because every time he woke up he'd be in another dream. I wish it were still on to spice up TV.

Just about every review of this movie complains about how violent it is, how little plot it has, and how out of place the two leads are. Personally, I was blown away with how refreshing this movie is. Finally, an action movie that is extremely brutal and gory. I appreciated that there were actual noticeable wounds when people were shot (as opposed to just letting them fly away with little or no blood shed).

As far as the plot goes, what do you want? It's an action movie, not a character drama.

I loved Kevin Costner as the ultra-brutal, remorseless murder-machine Murphy. Kurt Russel, to me, is great in anything, so no complaints here.

I'd recommend 3000 Miles to Graceland to anyone who enjoys real balls-to-the wall action (and being a gorehound doesn't hurt either). Be prepared for the violence though, cause it's a real gutpunch.

"Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat" was a great cartoon series. It had great animation, truly bizarre characters and situations, and a lot of laughs. Unfortunately it went downhill after the first season or two, especially since they changed Felix's voice. But, the first season or two are great and highly recommended!

My friends and I rented this to have a good laugh, and we weren't disappointed. The movie starts off weird and cheesy, and pretty much stays that way. It's actually not too bad around the middle, when you realize that the movie isn't really taking itself seriously at all, and Van Damme has such a genuine smile throughout that it's hard not to almost like the movie. There are some intentionally funny parts that work, but most of the laughter comes from how cheesy it all is. It tends to drag in the last third, and Van Damme doesn't do much fighting like you'd expect.

I'd recommend this movie, but I wouldn't recommend expecting much from it.

I wrote a review down there saying that I didn't like this movie. I recently watched it again, and while I still think there's too much pointless sex, I found that I enjoyed it much more. I suppose it's better if you watch it like an adventure film, not a cannibal film.

Anyways, my opinion of Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals has improved, and I find it easier to recommend now.

Suspiria is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. I just watched it aboot 10 minutes ago with a friend, and he told me afterwards that he was trembling through the whole thing. Argento is a genius, and this film is a masterpiece. If you're a serious fan of horror or films in general, Suspiria is a must.

It's a so-so event. The best matches in my opinion are the barbed wire bat, bed of thumbtacks matches between Cactus Jack and Terry Gordy and the one between Shoji Nakamaki and Hiroshi Ono, and the barbed wire board, bed of nails match between Cactus and Nakamaki. There's an awesome match between the Headhunters and two guys whose names I can't recall, along with some other matches thrown in, but the final round between Cactus Jack and Terry Funk is disappointing.

I really don't understand why everyone puts down Pauly Shore. I've loved him since I saw him on MTV. I used to have some of his standup on tape and that was some funny s**t. I think he's a really funny guy and a great screen presence.

In the Army Now is a super funny movie, mostly due to Pauly, but Andy Dick, Lori Petty and David Allen Grier are great also. It's difficult for me to put my finger on why I like this movie so much, but watching it makes me feel good, and that's all I care about.

Since I can't read Japanese (yet) I had to play the English translated ROM of EBZ. While you can clearly see the roots of the game that proceeded Earthbound, the sense of humor is a little less evident. EBZ is also harder than EB, which decreases the fun of playing it somewhat. It's irritating to keep getting into a battle when you take a step.

The story and acute sense of adventure are what really make this game work. It's fun to travel to new towns and meet all the weird people there (like the kid who says "Have you played Super Mario Bros. 7? I'm still playing part 3"). Along the way you get to fight flying saucers, hippies, Starmen and a large amount of other enemies. The music doesn't have anything on EB, but it's catchy enough.

If you have NESticle, I'd urge you to get the ROM of this game (unless you have a Famicom and can read Japanese) and give this unfairly neglected game a go.

Man, there's so much to love about this game that I can't even remember it all! One night I was on my friend's computer as he was playing this, and I just happened to glance over as he was getting to Threed, and I noticed that the game had kooky music and was kinda odd.

Later I actually borrowed it and man, I've never been sucked into a game like that before! The story was complex and intriguing and chock full of humor, the music is awesome and nutty, the characters are interesting, and the game as a whole is a joy to play.

It really broke my heart to read that Earthbound 64 has been cancelled. Someday I hope to play Mother as well.

Man, this is the ultimate classic video game. Everyone in the world has played it, and I've never heard of anyone even mildly disliking it. It's not as hard as I remembered it being (which is strange, because I usually remember them being easier than they really are) but it's still very challenging. Modern video games would benefit greatly from re-acquainting themselves with the old-school video game rule: There's No Guarantee You Will Win.

And not because of the unintentional comedy either, although I like that too. It's a bit cheesy, but it's got a charm that I can't resist. I've read some reviews by people who said that the film wasn't gory, but I'm guessing they saw a re-edited print, because the version I saw was quite gory.

Eaten Alive is kind of goofy, but I was thoroughly entertained throughout. It's also got a really neat opening theme, similar to Make Them Die Slowly.

Except for the previews for several horrible kid movies and an excruciating ten minute Angela Anaconda short, Digimon: The Movie was a great film!

I think that my friend and myself were the only people in the theatre who understood it, as the little kids and their parents probably had no idea what was going on or why. It's a deeper movie than I expected, and hard to understand if you haven't been following the TV show to become acquainted with the characters and their world.

The animation is great and fun to look at, there's a lot of comedy, interesting characters and rad monsters. I was surprised to find there was even a little poop.

If you're a fan of the show, you'll probably love every second of the movie, although a lot of it is apt to fly right over little kids' heads.

When people review Monster Rancher, Digimon, and Pokemon, they nearly always compare the three. It's kind of hard not to, so I will too.

But first, just about MR. This is the opposite of a normal cartoon. Instead of a bunch of action and whatnot, most of each episode centers on the characters and their feelings, emotions, motivations and interactions. No character is what he seems, and the creators do an incredible job of making the characters seem not just _deep_ but like bottomless wells of personality and history.

Now the comparisons: except for the inclusion of monsters, Monster Rancher is not like Digimon or Pokemon in any way. The animation is better than both other 'mons (in my order, Pokemon's animation is horrible, Digimon's is pretty good, and Monster Rancher's is great). As for story, I don't watch Pokemon enough to know completely, but I've seen a few episodes and it seems like a run-of-the-mill children's cartoon. Digimon is great because it actually has a continuous story and characters that I give a c**p about. Monster Rancher, though, goes beyond even Digimon in regards to characterization, which makes the show such a joy to watch.

I've read a lot of bad reviews of this movie, which I don't understand. When I and my friends watched it, we laughed so hard we couldn't stop. I loved all the characters and found them very fascinating. The comedy wasn't all sophomoric, but even the immature stuff was great. Why are people so uptight about immature comedy? I feel, if it's funny, laugh!

Under it all, it's really a sweet movie.

This movie for me was a lot like 'The Shining'. I loved the book 'The Shining' and I loved the movie. I saw 'Needful Things' and loved it, then I read the book. Although, like 'The Shining', the book and movie are vastly different, I loved each of them.

It gets a little dopey at the end, but Max von Sydow's performance was magnificent, and Ed Harris is great as usual.

I read a review on IMDB which claims that the film doesn't have any humour or comic relief, which I don't understand. I thought that there were a lot of funny parts.

Obviously, being a movie based on a Stephen King book, it's not for everyone, but if you like Max von Sydow and/or Ed Harris, I'd recommend checking it out for them alone.

Wow, I forgot how great this movie was until I stumbled upon it while looking through the garage. It's a kind of strange combination of a bio of Michael Jackson, a collection of musical vignettes, and a story about a super hero fighting to save some little kids. The vignettes are good (especially Speed Demon), but the best part of this movie is the super hero segment, in which Michael Jackson turns into a car, a robot, and finally a spaceship (and it's just as weird as it sounds). Joe Pesci is hilarious, and has enough cool imagery and great music to entertain throughout!

The real gem however is the incredible "Smooth Criminal" video, which makes the movie worth owning for that part alone!

I just finished watching Romeo Must Die with some friends an hour ago, and it was hilarious! What really made the film for me was the much talked-about fight scenes. They were so over-done and blown so out of proportion that I nearly laughed myself hoarse. Especially the last one, where Jet Li and the other guy jump like 10 feet in the air. God that was some funny sh t.

What could have just been really, really stupid is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. While the musical numbers aren't always great, there's more than enough funny dialogue and gags. Trey Parker is great as Alfred Packer, and the rest of the cast is excellent as well. Be sure to watch through the end credits.

Favorite line: "Fudge, Packer?"

I can't really explain why...it IS boring and dull, but there was something about it that makes me want to see it again. I guess it's just one of those weird movies that I have an unexplainable soft spot for. Oh well.
