Alvin & the Chipmunks (1983)
Classic 80's Cartoon
What can I say? This was the perfect way to begin the excellent animation generation of the 80's. It had great plots, characters, humor, & originality. It also had great music. The Chipmunks had a cartoon series before. It was also very good. This is more of an updated versian of the original classic. And unlike other updates, doesn't ruin the original style. This is what cartoon animation is all about...FUN, Creativity, & just plain good.
Inspector Gadget (1999)
Good, but not as good as the originals
I enjoyed the movie very much. It was funny, and it was similar to the classic cartoon. However, there were a few things that didn't make it seem very nostalgic.
First, you get to see Claw's face. It would've been different you saw his face just in the end, but in the entire movie? That's not like the cartoon!
2nd, Brain doesn't have much of a part. He doesn't really help Gadget. It would've good if he couldn't talk, but helped Gadget. That would've made it realistic as well like the cartoon.
3rd, Mad Cat is missing. Sure Dr. Claw holds cat, but he is never mentioned and only seen once!
There were a few good things I did like.
1rst, it tells the story of how Gadget became Gadget. We get find out his real name as well!
2nd, the Gadget Mobile. I still like the old fashioned one, but this made the movie funnier.
Overall, a good Disney movie. Recommended to Gadget fans.
Clue (1985)
It's a shame...
People are deprived if they haven't seen this excellent movie! There are several reasons why this is a great film.
1. All star cast- this has them all! Tim Curry, Christopher Lloyd & more! You can't go wrong with a great cast.
2. Plot- it's so well planned. There's so much going on, you have to see it several times to find out everything. It's enjoyable the first time. But you may be a little confused. As you watch more, you learn more about the characters, the events, etc.
3. Originality- this is the first movie to be based on a game!
4. Genre- it's a comedy & mystery mixed in! It's just plain fun!
It's a shame that not many people remember Clue the movie.
America's Funniest People (1990)
AFP was bad, but not as bad as these people say
Once again I back up the home video shows. I agree this isn't that good. But it is better than what you see on TV anymore. Most the videos sent to this one were stupid. Only the video clips made by AFP themselves were funny. I liked the Jackalope a lot. That was the only good thing about it. I hate the name Jack Ching Botta Bing though.
America's Funniest Home Videos (1989)
Am I the only person who still likes this show?
I was amazed of how many unsatisfied comments there were for AFHV. This is one of the few shows that ever got me and my family together. This is one of those special shows that bring the family together and spend some quality time. There are some very funny things that happen. I have to agree that some of the videos aren't funny. But there were plenty to make up for it. I don't like seeing things get hurt when they could be severely hurt. But what was sent in never bothered me. I still enjoy this show even though I'm grown up. And I am more mature than most other people my age. As for Bob Sagat. I don't think he's a bad host. He isn't the best, but he has a few that are funny. This is a high quality family get together show. It's better than some of the shows of today.
Zeruda no densetsu: Toki no okarina (1998)
Best N64, Average Zelda, Enjoyable Game
I enjoyed it mostly for the nostalgic value. The game was like other Zelda games only in 3D. We're back to the past with a younger Link generation. This time, we get to be both young & adult Link! In Z3 & 4 we're young Link, and in 1 &2 we're adult Link. It's the best N64 game because it is what a Nintendo game is supposed to be... fun, challenging, and memorable. The only downside is that the ending could've been better. I also think that Zelda3 is still the best Zelda game yet.
