Wife loves it

Back when roles of men and women were well defined there was the MUSICAL. Men sang. Women sang. Men sang about women, Women sang about men. Then came the 60s and men and women sang about other issues that were pertinent to them at that time.

If you want to have a good time singing about the old times watch Oklahoma, if you desire plot, watch something else.

Classic
9 October 1999
About every ten years a movie comes along that will set the tone for movies for the next ten years. Copying a good thing doesn't make you a good thing, it makes you a copy. But I am pleased to say that copying this movie will make you a good thing.

By introducing us to the next child star, putting Bruce Willis in an untraditional role, with a good story and terrific ending I give this movie a ten. And after you see it you should too. Because the ending will make you want to see it again.

Worse than Gong Show Movie
13 September 1999
How do I describe the use of a license that scared us witless and kept us out of the water? Jaws 1 was a classic. Jaws 2 was an ok movie. Jaws 3D (remember at the movies it was 3D, glasses and all) was bad except for the 3D effects (and Bess Armstrong, I had a crush on her, always had a thing for short perky blonds). Logic tells me this was going to be trash. So I had to see it, just to prove it was what I thought it was going to be. You need to double bag this baby and tie the twist tie in a knot for good measure.

Sheriff is dead (O no, not Roy, please don't tell me they killed Roy) but please believe Mrs. Brody is going to come to the rescue. (Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out the hat... o no not again,)

To sum it up, The Shark loses, again, even to this competition. But hey, thats Hollywood.

I haven't eaten a Baby Ruth since then

Once upon a time, 20 years ago, lived some former Saturday Night Live stars. They wanted to earn fame and fortune and entertain us. They were truly funny and brilliant in their elements. The Pinnacle of their careers was this movie in probably the funniest movie of all time. Golf fans or not, Chevy Chase, Dangerfield, etc. fan or not, if you don't even like Baby Ruths or not, you will bust your sides, roll in the floor and never, ever look at life ever the same again.

Yes, I liked it.
