NYPD Blue (1993)
Excellent "Cop" Show!!
Andy Sipowitz (Dennis Franz) really makes this show tick. His grumpy personality is very likeable, and he gets along well with his squad. He's one of many likeable characters, and this show is one of the best cop shows on TV today, and has been for years! Keep up the good work guys!!
Random Hearts (1999)
Excellent Movie!
This movie was suspenceful, and interesting with wonderful portrayals from Harrison Ford, and Kristin Scott Thomas. It was basically about betrayal from their spouses who are both killed together in a plane crash, and this comes as a total shock to both our stars, and they try to investigate to find out more of when their spouses love affair began. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story (1992)
Outstanding Movie and Outstanding Acting
Betty Broderick worked hard as a wife, and Mother, and got a raw deal when her husband of 16 years, Dan, left her for his young, pretty, secretary (Linda). He finally asked for a divorce, and this was the beginning of the end. A betrayed Betty went on the war path, and made Dan's life miserable, which led to her shooting and killing him, and his new bride, Linda. She worked hard for years supporting Dan when he was in law school, and raised their 4 children as well. Excellently portrayed by Meredith Baxter, this movie was fabulous. Part II, her Final Fury, the last chapter was also an excellent movie!
Down Will Come Baby (1999)
Great TV Thriller!
This movie was filmed in Scottsdale, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. - Meredith Baxter and Tom Amandes played the Mom and Dad to young daughter, Robin (Evan Rachel Wood). Fast paced movie where Robin goes to camp, and feels responsible for her friends drowning. All actors in the movie were excellent. Good thriller, and great acting by all.
After Jimmy (1996)
Well acted movie on a serious subject
After Jimmy was a movie that all parents should watch. There are so many teenage suicides, and this movie shows a family who didn't have a clue as to WHY Jimmy decided to end his life. It shows the aftermath of a family, and how each family member is affected. Meredith Baxter and Bruce Davison were superb as the parents. The children were also excellent in their parts. A movie worth watching, and a movie about a subject parents should definitely be aware of.
Winnie (1988)
Sweet, moving story of a retarded girl trying to be normal
Once again Meredith Baxter pulls it off by playing Winnie, a retarded girl who was put in an institution at an early age. David Morse played her retarded boyfriend. Her sister comes to visit her whenever she can, but as years passed, she died of cancer, and Winnie felt very alone, except for her friendship with David Morse, and other classmates. She worked hard to lead a normal life, and she did a darn good job at it!
Kate's Secret (1986)
Excellent education movie on Bulimia
This movie tells the story of Kate, a beautiful housewife and mother who's constantly exercising, and eating lightly, but who goes on binges for food and desserts. She then goes and "gets rid" of the food in her stomach. Her secret is finally disclosed when she's driving her little girl home from scouts, and she passes out while driving. Her little girl is fine, but the doctor discovers that Kate is bulimic, and tells her husband about her condition, Kate has many battles trying to overcome her problem in the clinic for anorexia and bulimic women, but finally gets on the road to recovery. Meredith Baxter was fabulous as Kate!
