Intense, distorted and fun.

Neil Young and his favorite back-up band Crazy Horse are filmed during his 1996 tour. Splendid concert footage(filmed in various formats to acompany the ragged music) is mixed with honest backstage footage from 1996, 1986 and 1976. The result is one the 90's best Rock'n' Roll pictures in a LONG time. Anyone interested in Rock should check out the distorted piece.

Epic, tragic and powerful.

Oliver Stone's film about Vietnam veteran Ron Kovic is an epic story. Tom Cruise does a wonderful job, playing this man, probably his best role ever. Although the first 30 minutes are a bit overlong, the horror and the pain the man goes through the rest hour and 45 minutes are among the best I've seen. Oliver Stone depicts the 70's greatly. The picture is really full of symbols. John Williams sweeping score is absolutely among his best. Although I'm not American, this is a very important film for any American. Anti-War at it's best.

Human Highway (1982)

Wacked out. And quite boring too.

Neil Young's Human Highway is probably a gem just for his musical fans. Some funny scenes, but too uneven and boring to be enjoyed by the casual viewer.

Highlight for Young's fans: Young and Devo playing Hey Hey, My My during a dream sequence.
