French Postcards (1979)
This is a fun movie.
This is a fun movie. It doesn't try to get any message across so it is easy on the eyes and brain. Everyone in the movie does a credible job. If you want to see a real beauty check out Valérie Quennessen (Toni). Also see "Summer Lovers" to see more of her. It is a shame that she has passed away. Check out "French Postcards" for a little French fun!
Angel's Dance (1999)
A well done mob hitman action flick.
Sheryl Lee carries the first few minutes of this movie.
Her character is a rather strange young lady. ( Angel ) When James Belushi ( The Rose ) shows up things really get started.
The hitman training is strange to say the least, I guess most of us just don't think like that, and the characters all change though-out this movie. Sheryl Lee & James Belushi are both great in this movie.
Maybe there should be a sequel The Angel & The Rose it might be interesting,
A well done mob Hitman action flick. Check out the license # of the car at the end............
When Night Is Falling (1995)
Life is about choices.........
Life is about choices and this film open doors for you to see into other people's making of choices. The film is pure art. The director used every trick in the book and a few new ones to make this movie a joy to watch. It is well worth the time.
Taking Care of Business (1990)
Everybody would like to have Jim Belushi as a friend or brother.
Everybody would like to have Jim Belushi as a friend or brother. He truly seems to have fun in everything he does, it shows in this movie. I won't tell you the story but it is almost like some of the screwball comedies of the 1930's. The entire cast does a excellent job. Loryn Locklin as Jewel is a pleasure for anyone to see at the pool. And who has not seen an old classmate like Debbie, played to the hilt by Anne DeSalvo was really funny and sad at the same time.
Rent it you will enjoy yourself.
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
Lucas is light-years ahead of everyone else in the the art of FX
Okay, everyone in the known universe has heard of "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace". All I can say is that Lucas is light-years ahead of everyone else in the the art of F\X. For that alone "The Phantom Menace" is worth seeing.
Natalie Portman is outstanding I'm looking for more of her in the future. On top of that a fairly good story with a little "Ben Hur" thrown in makes for a great romp through the stars. Enjoy!!!!!!!!
The Mummy (1999)
A frist rate Mummy film.
A first rate Mummy film. You know what is going to happen, we all do, but it happens fast and with style in this 1999 version of "The Mummy". Brendan Fraser was good in "Blast From The Past" but he is outstanding in this movie, ( the next Indiana Jones????). If you want a fast-paced action romp with a little horror thrown in for good measure go see "The Mummy".
Star Trek: Insurrection (1998)
The Best Yet!!!!!
The Best Yet!!!! That is saying quite a lot as there have been so many Star Trek movies. But this movie is about people and their choices on how to live and a mother's love. Not as much action as in some of the past movies but enough for the story line. It was good to see more humor and sex in space. The cast has acted like no sex, no fun drones in some of the past movies. Worf showed up without his wife (Dax from Deep Space 9). She would have made a good addition to the cast. I liked "Star Trek First Contact" but this one is better......
Night of the Comet (1984)
Bad??? No, just a off center.
Another critic called this movie a disgrace but I belive they were wrong. The whole movie was supposed to be off center, sort of like "Eating Raoul". If you liked one you would like the other. Catherine Mary Stewart did a good job in this movie and was fun to watch. The lines about the Uzi's was great. Also Mary Woronov was good in this. Hope to see more of both of these actresses. This is not "BEN HUR" but it is a fun watch so I give it a 7.0
