The Aeronauts (2019)
How expensive was to hire a scientist to help on scenario....?
No gloves hat or any oxygen mask at 25000 ft...?
-40 f anyone?
Or if no budget for a scientist, or even a highschool teacher, couldn't the scriptwriter here just google the facts.
Or fly by airplane and check " your flight details"......
Blood & Treasure (2019)
Ridiculously stupid people writing screenplay
Interesting places and decent original idea, but amazingly stupid moves and actions of main protagonists.
On the level when they can grab the main villain, they decide to have an icecream and shave legs...
Why one might ask?
Why not.
DCI Banks (2010)
The stupidest pair of coppers in universe
But not intentionally.... so stories are fine classic bbc. Banks and Annie are just plain stupid. If there are three bad decisions they could make, they will pick fourth, miles stupider than the first 3.
But all in all watchable, with bit more effort could have been a good parody.
Lost in Translation (2003)
Lost in quasi.... something(2003)
This film is nether good or bad. It is just very uninventive and uninteresting (most of the 100 minutes it lasts). It is made on the level of European student movies and I hope that those guys there do not get too ofended... Acting is mostly on Keanu Reevs level (not because Bill and Scarlett are bad actors, but just because there is nothing to act in this film). Summary: he comes to Japan, gets bored to death, ("oh, by the way Japanese are different than us! can you imagine?"), meets one bored american woman, they are bored together, the paint on the walls dry, I apply second layer of paint as movie slowly creeps into its second hour, they are still bored, Japanese are still different than Jeff from Topeka, karaoke, videogames,Japanese speak poor EngRish, bored, FLIRT, FLIRT, FLIRT!, oh, but he ends up in the bed with the retirement-ready Shania, .. bored... he leaves...
Wrong Turn (2003)
wrong movie
Let's see.... I don't see how this qualifies as a horror. Not scary - but quite boring instead. Could have been a decent parody if someone had sense of humor, but I guess they wanted to make a 'serious' film. Probably shot in 2 days, with the script writted by an IRS accountant on a cigarette-break.
Willard (2003)
I fail to see what all these reviewers are ranting about
Really boring movie! The lead actor is good, but then... what is theis movie about? Lonely guy incapable (or not wanting, whatever)to fit makes friends with rats... Whoooa! I can barely wait to see the sequels, and I hope there will be at least 10 of them! Actually what is worse is that there will be people who will be delighted with Willard 8 ('The return of Ben's great-uncle and sister-in-law').
Oh, by the way - there is nothing scary in the movie either....
Phone Booth (2002)
gives hope that people can still make decent movies
Interesting, and dramatic. Has everything a movie needs, good lead, story, anticipation.... Actually there is not a THING I can object about this movie and that happens twice a year. And I don't see less than 350 movies a year. 9/10 Hope for more like this to come....
The Guilty (2000)
not bad all things considered
and all things considered means that if you throw 6-7 idiotic characters in the movie and you have any kind of plot (someone said even a twist), you will get OK rental movie.
everyone in this movie does exactly opposite of what would make sense.
I Spy (2002)
entertaining
I don't understand why people complain about this movie...? It is not Amadeus/Platoon/or Memento but I can not beleive that anyone expects that from I SPY. It is entertaining, stupidish on occasion, and even had few scenes that made me pause the DVD just to laugh....! I was surprised! I can't remember when that happened last time...? 6/10
Cheung foh (1999)
boring!
Mainly because of the technical issues of the DVD = the captions last for 3 microseconds so it is almost impossible to know (unless you understand one of 2 versions of Chinese)what are they saying. And they are forunatelly not talking too much. I rented this DVD because of the comments here on IMDB. Damn, pleople! What the hell did you see inthis movie. Every half-drunk drama/film student can shoot 88 minutes of this thing in 44 minutes. With lunch break included!!!
Scenes are slow so without any loss you can watch it on fast-forward. I'm not kidding.
Full Frontal (2002)
eddie54 said it in his title
quazi intellectual waste of time. boring^3. the only good thing about this 'thing' (1/10) is that I actually rent DVDs from netflix - so this waste of time that does not deserve to be called movie, cost me just about under $2. i can live with that. i can sit thru enthing but after 35 minutes (is this new record? has anyone actualy seen the whole thing?) i had to give up and FF it...
Deceived (2002)
90 minutes lasted like 90 years in prison!
One of the worst movies I have seen this year! Bad acting, poor plot, no ideas. I dont mind the low budget movies but most of the budget of this poor (in absence of better word at the moment let's promote it into movie) movie was spent on smashing cool flat panels at the end. Poor monitors - died in vain. Skip it! Or if you want to amuse yourself and check how bad a movie can be - this is the contender!
Antitrust (2001)
underrated
Actually i was postponing to rent this movie because of the comments here on IMDB and relatively average rating (~6.9 january 2002). It is quite interesting and entertaining. And people who contribute 'goofs' section -please - - get a life! Obviously the director is not a Bill Gates fan (understandable), and has a point of making this movie. Disregard the comments where they compare Antitrust and Firm. these are two different movies made from different reasons. Enjoy (9/10)
Highlander: Endgame (2000)
good (part I) bad(endgame) and the ugly (part II)
where to start...? i have easier time solving quantum mechanical problems than trying to figure out who, what, where and why in this movie and what does it have to do with previous sequels. after i gave up 'connecting' stuff (some 45-50 minutes into it - it was almost watchable. editing is reeeeeeeeeeeealy bad... cut, errors, even 5-6 second of the fight repeated (no , the DVD did not skip - check last 5-7 minutes of the movie. 3/10
15 Minutes (2001)
great movie
i really do not understand why are some people giving this movie bad reviews and low votes... it is criticizing usa's (contemporary western 'media') culture and sends a message (yeah, yeah, 'if you want to send a message use telegraph...'), clear message that is understandable to 10 year old.
interestingly, most of the bad reviews come from people in usa... wonder why?
do not miss the last scene (actually last cut) when credits start rolling... press (yellow, tabloids, mainstream, any) is indestructible.
see the movie!
Traffic (2000)
boring (not my comments) - the movie
OK - 4 oscars! why? because the inflation! your money loses value from year to year - and so do oscars... if this was made 15 years ago, it would probably get some (best 3rd camera assistant, for example) award on some never-heard-of summer festival ... there is something very wrong about 'academy'. Now - back to the painfull experience that lasts for more than 2 hours. Story (what story?) is flat, nothing happens, it is easy to get confused who is on who's side (which by itself is the stronest point of the movie)...
Del Toro.. Any guy from the street could do his role.. what am I saying he IS any guy from the street...
Mr. Murder (1998)
do not rent it! burn all the copies!!!!!
wow! the worst movie ever!!!! i'm so anxious to write about how bad it is - that i had to log in here while it is still running on my VCR. where to start...? baldwin, ok. - can someone be really that bad or there is some kind of special training for it? if they hired a beer bottle (plain 12oz beer bottle) to act instead of hit - it would have done a better job. screenplay? already seen - about 50 times. altogether - i already spent too much time on this... so 1/10.
A Night at the Roxbury (1998)
one of the stupidest and most pointless movies, ever!!!!
after what I said - there is not much more. it is not funny, it is not entertaining, it is.. NOTHING!!!! unfortunately, there are no 0 or negative numbers here on IMDB. maybe, dumb, dumber - DUMBEST is the best title for this one...
The Pallbearer (1996)
i gave them 2... don't know why - i was too generous
no comment - stupid movie, acting average or worse... screenplay - no sense at all... SKIP IT!
There's Something About Mary (1998)
don't waste your money - skip the movie
generally i rented this movie 'cause I saw that it has a pretty good rating here on IMDB... 7.9 or so... fortunately, i had some coupons and spent only $1.50 when renting it.... if I paid whole price for this i would for sure commit a suicide...
OK - the movie is one of the worst 'comedies' (i guess it goes under that classification) that I ever saw! I gave it 2 of 10 just because there are a few 'joke' taken from old movies worthed remembering. This movie... how should i put it? Well I would be happy if by some mysterious force all the copies disappeared from the world. The 'humor' is idiotic and it basically aims to the audience younger than 12 AND slightly retarded. Bad taste is always welcome in the movies - but this is just PLAIN stupid. Cameron Diaz looks fine - but if you want to admire her - just buy the poster and hang it on the wall.... CONCLUSION: this kind of 'movies' (and there are really few this stupid) should be forbidden by the law! (yeah i heard about the first amendment - but this is the good example why we need the exemption from it). I WANT MY $1.50 BACK!!!
ps: also i would be happy to meet those individuals who gave this movie 8, 9, 10 here on IMDB... i have the interest in retards too, you see
Lepa sela lepo gore (1996)
great and painful movie
even if you were not on balkans - ex-Yugoslavia, this movie will 'hurt' you... and if you are from there - it just kills you, makes you feel pain, and laugh at the same time... it is about a great country that does not exist anymore - and maybe never existed, and about OGRE from the tunnel whick lives in each and every one of us. the subtitles (for USA) are not the first class.the translation could have been done better. anyway great movie.
Ko to tamo peva (1980)
one of the best!
i'm not sure if it is available worldwide - but if anyone who's deciding what is supposed to be put on videotapes and distributed in video clubs - is reading this - please , please buy it! (if I wasn't clear: GET THE MOVIE INTO VIDEOSTORES!)
can't be explained - must see!
Priyatel pokoynika (1997)
very interesting
good movie, also very painful for anyone from that region of the world.
i warmly recommend it to americans - try something other than hollywood - it doesn't hurt...
Good Will Hunting (1997)
no hope for Hollywood
Good Will Hunting could have been an average movie, but it's nothing more than a ($%#)... bad movie. there is nothing you can relate to, it is full of cliche's ... Mat Damon is an awful actor (may be acceptable in some C-production 'hi-school-reunion-kids-got-drunk-movie'). screenplay... well he had an idea... initially - when he was (they were) around page 2 or 3 of the script... and than he took a $4.95 or so 'Screenplay for dummies'... if he didn't do that - this may be almost average movie. this way it is AWFULL and overrated... Robin Williams... Robin... oh the guy who acts 'dead poet's society' each time he sees the camera? even if it is the camera in the K-Marts.... don't mention it
