Margaret Thatcher told the Queen the last sighting of Mark was two days ago. The news program which the Queen was watching said its been five days since Mark's sighting. While watching this, the Queen turned to Prince Philip and said "the Prime Minister said something interesting today". The dates don't match.
The events of Mark Thatcher's disappearance and the Argentina landing on South Georgia are portrayed as happening at exactly the same time. This is wrong. Thatcher's disappearance happened in January 1982 (9th January to the 14th January). The Argentinian scrap metal workers did land on South Georgia and raise the Argentina flag as portrayed, but this didn't happen until March 19th 1982, two months after Mark Thatcher's disappearance.
The encounter of the British scientists and Argentine workers in South Georgia was very different as showed. Nobody wrote the graffiti 'Las Malvinas son argentinas' there and the encounter was not as rude as displayed. Of course the British communicated to Gritvyken authorities their discovering, but the relation between both groups was fine.
The theodolite (either Wild-Heerbrug or Zeiss-Jena) is not set up properly at all. The base is clearly not level, which would make the instrument unusable. Also, the tripod shown is a Japanese make, and not really appropriate for that instrument.
The Dakar Rally's title sponsors in that real event, Europe 1 (radio station) and Le Point (newspaper), also clearly visible on all entrants' number plates, are missing from the banners in the start gantry and in entrants' vehicles. Unless they are not obliged to, sponsors' logo should always be present at the gantry considering the large sums of money they have put in for their logos be visible to the media. Also missing from the vehicles are the logos of Air Afrique and Africatours .
Also, some of the sponsors present at the gantry, Lois Jeans (personal sponsor of Mark Thatcher's co-driver, Anne-Charlotte Verney), Marchal, Sikkens and Esso were not the event sponsor. These were his Peugeot's sponsors, barring Sikkens.

When Queen Elizabeth rides out with her daughter, Princess Anne, they dismount and sit talking. Their horses are left to graze, wearing their bridles. As all experienced equestrians - as both Elizabeth and Anne are aware, you never allow your horse to graze with a bit in their mouth. They might choke. Nor with their reins dangling - the horses could trip on them. They would have removed the horses' bridles and replaced them with halters (no bit or reins). Not only that, but they would have also run the stirrups on their saddles up the leathers to prevent them annoying their horses by knocking on their sides. This is basic, Equestrian 101 practice. Children learn it early on in Pony Club. There is no way that either of these experienced equestriennes would have neglected such fundamental rules.
The Argentinian man that talks to the British men doesn't speak Spanish.
Mark Thatcher was depicted to have competed in the 'Dakar Rally 1982' as written in the vinyl banners at the start gentry. The event had always, at the time, been officially titled as [edition] [departure]-[arrival], therefore it should be officially titled as '4e Rallye Paris-Alger-Dakar'. The name given on that banners are the name given by fans of the rally and was not adopted officially until 2007.
Prince Andrew mentions that the Duke of York, Richard III, has experience murdering the sons of his elder brother. Richard III was Duke of Gloucester, not Duke of York. However, Richard was from the House of York (he was the last king of that house), and in the very first lines of the play, Shakespeare makes a pun on this fact: "Now is the winter of our discontent / Made glorious summer by this sun [son] of York."
Elizabeth says Andrew would have to murder any sons born to Charles to become king. Any children born to Charles -- including daughters -- would rank higher than Andrew in the succession. Elizabeth would be well aware of this because she inherited her throne ahead of her uncle Prince Henry.
