I was hoping that somehow the sound would have improved when it was on Hulu, because of wishful thinking and not understanding how it works. But no, I continue to have to crank it up to 11 to hear the dialogue, then turn it way down for background, music and explosion noises. I don't know if the sound mixer replacement just was new, didn't know his job, or it was a problem with picking up the sound in the first place, but it is terrible. I know there are some people who just stopped watching it because of the sound issues. But I'm very glad it is streaming on Hulu and have enjoyed watching it as I complete by Sherlock Holmes retrospective in re-reading the books and watching all the different interpretations of him in movies and tv.

Great comeback

A brilliant start to the new series, further developing the character of Sherlock Holmes. Also a touching tribute to Nelsan Ellis.
A shame that some viewers are hard of hearing and could not understand the clear speech during the episode brilliantly executed by the entire cast.

Season 6 is the best yet

ELEMENTARY Season 6 may have just started but already it shows promise of being the most successful to date. Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu) reveal aspects of their personalities that have shaped their very successful careers; we finally get to know what makes each tick and that enhances the impact of the stories shared thus far. New cast members include the introduction of Holmes fellow addict Michael (Desmond Harrington) and Watson's sister Lin (Samantha Quan)- fine ideas and situations. Member of the previous years' casts remain - Jon Michael Hill, Aidan Quinn, et al. For the first tow episodes it seems like this is one series that promises to be around for several more seasons! Recommended.

I love this show but struggle to understand Holmes( I have fabulous hearing) So I use the subtitle option on Apple TV. Maybe if they're still filming episodes a diction coach could be considered to sharpen what is his particular choice of delivery for this role. I really hope it goes to season 7
Hearing Aids Required
futuretype1 May 2018
This would be a good show to advertise hearing aids. The characters Marcus Bell and Sherlock Holmes seem to mumble. The other portrayals are not all that distinct. I struggle to capture the dialogue but I don't have that issue with other programs.
Sherlock, himself, has some difficulty hearing when questioning a suspect. This episode drags but picks up a little with the second incident. As Sherlock ages he looks more like his father. As the show ages it becomes easier to figure out who did it.
