9-1-1 is adding a face from Bobby’s (Peter Krause) past for the second half of Season 7.
According to Deadline, Malcolm-Jamal Warner has landed a four-episode arc as Amir.
Amir is a nurse in a hospital’s burn unit with a surprising connection to Bobby.
Details about how the pair come into contact have not been disclosed, but given that we know Amir’s profession, there’s a good chance it will result from a character winding up in that unit.
If Amir’s tie is to Bobby, we expect it to be someone from the 118.
Let’s hope it isn’t Buck (Oliver Stark). He needs a break after his brush with death after being struck by lightning.
Could Malcolm Jamal-Warner become a new series regular?
It’s unclear whether the four episodes could become something more because 9-1-1 has already earned a Season 8 renewal at ABC.

Desperation often leads to violence when someone’s back is against the wall. Humans are animals, and when cornered, they’ll lash out, throwing caution to the win as part of a fight or flight response. In Lionsgate‘s Desperation Road trailer, a mother protects herself against a corrupted officer of the law, leading to gunfire, bewilderment, and a snap decision to flee the scene. Mistakes can catch up to the best of us, and secrets unravel easily when the past comes back to haunt you.
“In a small Mississippi town, justice and the law are two very different things,” reads the official synopsis for Desperation Road. “Academy Award Winner Mel Gibson, Garret Hedlund, and Willa Fitzgerald star in a modern noir thriller based on the acclaimed novel by Michael Farris Smith about two lost souls tortured by the mistakes of their past and bound by a secret that keeps them running.

Major Crimes, the continuation series of The Closer, ran for an incredible six seasons, totaling over 100 episodes,
While the show didn't receive as much critical acclaim as The Closer and didn't earn any Emmys, the show was a success for TNT.
The ensemble-driven Major Crimes featured many of the same characters and performers as its predecessor, which rarely happens on television.
The show premiered after The Closer's finale, with only a few casting changes, such as Kyra Sedgwick stepping down from her leading role.
What is the cast of Major Crimes doing now? Find out below!
Bonus: Corey Reynolds as David Gabriel from The Closer

ABC will not be dialing Call Your Mother again.
The network has officially canceled the Kyra Sedgwick comedy after one low-rated season.
Sedgwick revealed the news on Twitter, while also taking a swipe at the way ABC scheduled the series.
"Before it goes out there in the world I want my fans to be the first to know that next Wednesday will be the last episode of Call Your Mother," the actress wrote.
"You guys have been so wonderful to tune in every week, or every other week or every two weeks! The rollout was nuts!"
Indeed, the rollout was not great, with the first five episodes airing without interruption.
The scheduling of the next seven episodes has been all over the place, but it could be attributed to the pandemic, which has changed the way TV is produced.

“Call Your Mother,” starring Kyra Sedgwick, Rachel Sennott and Joey Bragg, will not get a sophomore season. ABC has pulled the plug on the multi-cam family sitcom, which debuted this past January. It was created and executive produced by Kari Lizer, who is best known for creating and executive producing “The New Adventures of Old Christine” for CBS.
Sedgwick made the announcement Friday on social media. “Before it goes out there in the world I want my fans to be the first to know that next Wednesday will be the last episode of ‘Call Your Mother,'” she wrote on Twitter. “You guys have been so wonderful to tune in every week, or every other week or every two weeks! The rollout was nuts!”
The show centers on Midwestern empty-nester Jean Raines (Sedgwick), who wonders how she ended up alone while her children live their best lives thousands of miles away in Los Angeles.

The project will show how a black middle-class family in Montgomery, Alabama in the turbulent late 1960s, made sure it was The Wonder Years for them too.

She knows exactly the right thing to say to convince you of anything. As a mother, wife and full-time accountant, she’s organized, efficient and hard-working, but she always puts family first.
Sengbloh will next be seen in the OWN drama series “Delilah” and the Aretha Franklin biopic “Respect.” She recently appeared in the CW series “In the Dark,” with her other TV credits including “Scandal,” “The Night Of,” and “Ten Days in the Valley.”

Joshua Malina (Scandal) and Beth Triffon (Ten Days in the Valley) have joined the casts of Showtime’s Shameless and ABC’s The Goldbergs, respectively, in recurring roles. Both initially signed for one-episode guest shots, which have already aired. Both were received well and ultimately turned into sizeable guest arcs.
Malina recurs as Arthur Trilling on the eleventh and final season of Shameless. Arthur is a longtime Chicago cop who stays safe on the job by refusing to leave his squad car. Then he is assigned Carl Gallagher as his junior partner and that changed everything.

Jeremy Allen, Ethan Cutkosky, Cameron Monaghan, Noel Fisher, Steve Howey, Shanola Hampton, Christian Isaiah and Kate Miner also star.

“Dear White People” actor Jeremy Tardy announced his exit from the Netflix series on Friday, accusing producers Lionsgate Television of racial discrimination in contract talks, a claim the studio has denied.
Tardy, a recurring actor on the Netflix series across all three seasons of the show, made the accusations in a series of social media posts, alleging that the studio did not give him the same opportunity to negotiate a raise for the show’s fourth and final season that a white co-star was allowed.
“After being offered to return for several episodes my team was notified that our counter offer would not be considered and that the initial offer was the ‘best and final,'” Tardy wrote. “This news was disturbing because one of my white colleagues — being a true ally — revealed that they too had received the same initial offer and had successfully negotiated a counter offer.”

Ozark Season 3 is coming to Netflix! 10 new episodes of the show will soon arrive on the streaming service.
As star Jason Bateman, who directed the first two episodes of the upcoming frame, put it upon the third season renewal announcement, “I’m happy for me, but concerned for Marty.” – Us, too, Jason.
Indeed, as long as there’s an audience for the crime drama series, it will continue on for a fair while yet. The team behind Ozark have a five-year plan set out, but they seem open to extending the story beyond that.
“We’ve always talked about it as five seasons. It could be four, it could be seven … but that always seemed like a good number to us,” said showrunner Chris Mundy at the April 2019 Milken Global Conference in Beverly Hills.

Another day of the 2019-20 broadcast season, another new series opening to a 0.7 adults 18-49 Live+Same Day rating. This time it is Fox’s animated comedy Bless the Harts.
At this point, because so many new shows are starting this year at a ratings level which series in the past had hit en route to swift cancellation, we try to look at other factors, like lead-in retention, overall viewership, etc. For instance, CBS’ new drama All Rise also opened to a 0.7 in 18-49 (L+Sd), but ranks as the most watched new series this season (L+Sd).

Anyone watching the Tony Awards from the official media room got a clear sign that history was apt to be made: For the first time in recent memory, the small stage where winners would be taken for brief Q&As had a wheelchair ramp.
That logistical addition to the room inside the 3 West Club across the street from Radio City Music Hall preceded Ali Stroker’s win for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her turn in Oklahoma. The victory by the Oklahoma star, who has been paralyzed since a car accident when she was 2 years old, was the first Tony to go to an actor in a wheelchair.
Stroker, 21, arrived and left the room to loud applause. The 31-year-old, who has also starred in TV’s The Glee Project and Ten Days in the Valley, recalled the reactions she has gotten from her performance and its impact.
