Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaDuring Alfred the Great's rule, he issued a legal code containing 120 chapters. At the beginning of the Code he translated the 10 Commandments, parts of Exodus, and the Apostolic letter from Acts of the Apostles all into Old English. However, he made no efforts to reform the church during his lifetime. Alfred did create two new monasteries in Wessex, the first in over two centuries. He brought in foreign monks as well. To equate Alfred with Henry VIII or James is a gross misrepresentation of history.
- GoofsBishop Heahmund repeatedly says, his faith forbids him to marry. Celibacy was not introduced for the clergy until the 12th century.

Great episode this show came back after the summer stop with a bang
First off al I don't agree with all the this show died with Ragnar comments this show is still great in so many ways (alex hogh) really is a talented actor and the way he portraits Ivar is just PERFECT.
So I also don't get all the negative comments about the Character Ivar of course everybody seems to be a EXPERT on Viking and Danish history now are days because everyone has read the Sagas ....(yeah right) and everyone is a archeologist now are days . No this show probably is not accurate but hey if you think any of these shows have a 100 % accurate story telling then I am sorry but its time for you to wake up (nothing from that time period is 100 % accurate) they have to build a story around little pieces of sagas combined with the knowledge of historians and archeological findings. In my opinion Ivar definitely is the best character and the most evolved one as in character trades also his smiles giggles and voice is what sets him apart from the rest of the cast (HE SEEMS GENUINE) everything seems to go natural with him even the changes in his voice he really plays his part and lives up to his ROLE everything he was supposed to be according to historians and the sagas is portrait in a believable way his intelligence his anger his rage his insecurity's and above all his EVIL side and weak side.
So my opinion on this show has not changed its a great show with a great story and more then enough plots and twists everything you would expect to see from this type of show it delivers.
only negative criteria I have is the actors their real accents tend to pop up now and then ...(the guy who plays bjorn) sometimes I can hear a American like accent ...with some actors I can hear a Australian accent ...
Cant wait for the next episode !
