Screamography: Joe Dante (2006)
This episode of the Fangoria series has Joe Dante sitting down to discuss his career. He starts off talking about working as an editor for Roger Corman and how this led him to his first directing jobs. From here Dante discusses THE HOWLING, GREMLINS and box office disappointments like EXPLORERS, INNERSPACE and THE BURBS.
Fans of Dante will certainly enjoy this interview as he has plenty of great stories to tell about his films. For some reason this episode only runs around 25-minutes, which is half of what most in the series run. I'm not sure why this was done but this is still a very fun episode. The director gives you a terrific idea of what it was like to work in the Corman machine back in the day and there are some nice stories told about Hollywood simply not understanding GREMLINS at the time of its release,
