"It was as if he vaporized out of the driver's seat and just... floated away." Brainstorm Media has debuted an official trailer for an indie drama titled Don't Come Back From The Moon, an adaptation of a novel that first premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival in 2017, where it won a Special Jury Prize for Directing. This was made by cinematographer Bruce Thierry Cheung before he made the junk sci-fi film Future World, but is just now getting released. It's about a group of kids in a small California desert town who are forced into a scavenging life when their fathers abandoned them ("for the Moon") without warning. Starring Jeff Wahlberg, James Franco, Rashida Jones, Alyssa Elle Steinacker, Henry Hopper, Hale Lytle, Jeremiah Noe, and Cheyenne Haynes. This looks like one of those artsy indies filled with random shots of kids hanging out, running around, and doing whatever. The...

After the events that unfolded in season one of the hit Netflix/Marvel series “Luke Cage” we were a bit unsure of just where season two would pick up for Harlem’s hero Luke Cage, as he was certainly dealing with his new found fame on the streets and wrestling with the idea of being a super hero overall.
Deep down Luke Cage truly wants to be a normal guy, however his bulletproof skin and extreme strength certainly forced him almost unwillingly into the spotlight. In season two we find Luke Cage dealing with an increasing need to protect his beloved Harlem, while also coming to the realization that despite his abilities he doesn’t always have the ability to save everyone, especially those that do not want to be saved.

New York City-based actress Lucy Liu has decided to part with her long-time, celeb-pedigreed residence on the West Coast, listing her “modern craftsman” style home in the celeb-saturated Fryman Canyon area of Studio City, Calif., at $4.199 million. Tucked securely behind gates at the end of a private driveway shared with a couple of other multi-million dollar homes, the unassuming residence, which Liu picked up in 2001 for an unrecorded amount from Oscar and Golden Globe winning actress Patricia Arquette, was built in the late 1950s and measures in at 4,098-square-feet over two floors with four bedrooms and five bathrooms, all of them featuring vintage copper and nickel ceiling tiles and slathered in handmade ceramic floor and wall tiles.

Franco wore a tan, fleece-lined jacket with dark jeans, sunglasses and a basketball cap, while Pakzad wore distressed jeans and a graphic t-shirt under a navy blazer. The duo were also seen taking a stroll in the city last Friday, where the held hands and laughed as they walked.

Official New Trailer For James Franco and Milla Jovovich's Post-Apocalyptic Action Film Future World
Last week, a trailer was released for a new sci-fi western-style film produced by Lionsgate called Future World. That was not an official trailer and the studio asked us to take the post down until the official trailer was released. Well now the official trailer has been released and my opinion of it hasn't changed. It still looks awful. Below you will find my original post, along with a new synopsis and the official trailer.
Future World was co-directed by and stars James Franco. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic world exactly like Mad Max, and it looks like a pretty terrible film. I don't know how Franco went from directing a great film like The Disaster Artist, to this Future World movie, but he did, and I don't know what he was thinking! Maybe he thought it would be fun?
He even managed to bring a decent cast...

The new trailer for the upcoming movie Future World has dropped – and its fantastic. Not to say it looks good, it’s just something that looks great. Directed by James Franco and Bruce Thierry Cheung, the movie looks like a straight-up Mad Max rip-off. The movie has a chance to be fun, but that depends on how the actors treat the material.
It’s hard for me to believe this is a real movie, but it’s happening. I suppose without further adieu – here’s the trailer:
This certainly looks like a strange movie. Sex-robots and the apocalypse. That’s a choice. We’ll see how the movie is received when its released May 25th on VOD and in select cities.
Here’s the official synopsis for Future World:

"She's the perfect woman, right? Incorruptible - god I love that!" Lionsgate has released another official trailer for the film Future World, a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi action western. We featured another trailer for this last week, but was pulled off the web. Now we have this one and it doesn't look any better. Still looks like a straight-up rip-off of Mad Max, with sand motorcycles, grungy cars and everything. The story involves some kind of boy searching for a rumored cure for his dying mother, but is actually about a robot woman? I don't really know. James Franco co-directs, and stars along with Milla Jovovich, Lucy Liu, Margarita Levieva, Suki Waterhouse, Method Man, Snoop Dogg, Elisha Henig, and Scott Haze. So I'm only posting this just to add it here, but don't really care to ever watch this. Don't have time to waste on this junk. Here's the official Us trailer...

Model/Actress Milla Jovovich and filmmaker Paul W.S. Anderson listed one of the several multi-million dollar homes they own in Beverly Hills, Calif., with an asking price of $4.5 million. Anderson, a sci-fi and video game adaptation specialist who directed four of the six hugely successful “Resident Evil” film series that combined have hauled in more than $1.25 billion in worldwide box office, and Kiev-born Jovovich, once the highest paid model on the planet and now a busy actress who will star in the soon to be released James Franco directed “Future World” as well as the upcoming supernatural feature “Hellboy,” based on graphic novels of the same name, only purchased the property about 1.5 years ago for $3.922 million. Presumably the house was acquired as an investment and not for personal use because within days of their purchase the property popped up as a turn-key furnished rental at $20,000 per month. Following the success of “The Disaster Artist,” James Franco will star in the sci-fi thriller “Future World,” which he co-directed. The movie stars Suki Waterhouse as a cyborg assassin known as a “synthetic,” who is coveted by the likes of Franco, Milla Jovovich, and Snoop Dogg for her powers. This film fan admits to enjoying post apocalyptic fare. It was films like Albert Puyn's Cyborg (1989) and Night of the Comet (1984) that shaped the film landscape, a millenia ago. Director James Franco looks equally inspired by films of the '80s, including George Miller's The Road Warrior (1981). His latest picture, co-directed by Bruce Thierry Cheung (The Color of Time, 2012), creates a harsh landscape. In Future World, a young man looks for a cure, to stave off his mother's death. What he is not prepared for is a world filled with cyborgs, wasters and motorcycle riding bandits. The film hosts a number of recognizable names, in the film's first trailer. Viewers may recognize a few actors. Franco not only directs, but stars as some sort of junk dealer. Other bandits roam the wastes as Tattooed Face (Method Man) and Love Lord (Snoop Dogg). Even actress Lucy Liu makes a late appearance as the Queen.

After the ‘Mad Max’ franchise gained prominence in the early ‘80s, there was a horde of rip-off films that were chasing the success of George Miller’s film. There are so many of these films, from Europe and the United States, that the “Mad Max Rip-Off Film” is practically its own genre. Now, in 2018, after the massive success of 2015’s “Mad Max: Fury Road,” we are about to enter a new age of the “Mad Max Rip-Off Film.” At least you might think so after you watch the trailer for “Future World.”

"It was at that moment I became aware of exactly how different I was." Lionsgate has released a trailer for a movie called Future World, a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi action western that looks quite a bit like a straight-up rip-off of Mad Max. Yep, really. The title also sounds like it's a spin-off of "Westworld", but thankfully these two are different. This looks so bad I really don't even want to give it any attention, but only just to be amazed at how much of a rip-off this is - sand motorcycles and grungy cars and everything. James Franco co-directs, and stars along with Milla Jovovich, Lucy Liu, Margarita Levieva, Suki Waterhouse, Method Man, Snoop Dogg, Elisha Henig, and Scott Haze. It might just be a bad trailer, it also might just be a bad movie. Whatever the case, this looks downright horrible and I hope film fans stay far, far away.

Did you ever think Lucy Liu and Snoop Dogg would be in a movie together? What if you add in Milla Jovovich and Method Man? And what if I told you the story was by James Franco? Welcome to Future World. I think James Franco is a good actor; it's just that he's become a parody of himself (sometimes, as in the case of the Veronica Mars movie, literally). So I'm not sure what to make of his new project Future World. Franco came up with the story, will act in the film, and also direct along with Bruce Thierry Cheung. Here's how Variety describes it: Set in the barren landscape of a dystopian world, where a young prince from the Oasis (one of the last known safe havens) and a robot named Ash go on a daring journey of self-discovery through the violent and desolate world of the Wastelands.
