When I first listened to Tk from Ling tosite sigure , it was through Tokyo Ghoul ’s Op, “unravel.” I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that this was many anime fans’ first exposure to the singer because it’s truly iconic. You hear him sing in that high-pitched voice of his, “Oshiete yo, oshiete yo,” the instrumentals kick in, and then you get goosebumps. I’ve said this about many other anime songs, but this one ends up on my karaoke list if I’m feeling brave or want to damage my vocal cords. Tk, or Toru Kitajima, is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and singer-songwriter from the band Ling tosite sigure. He started releasing music as a soloist in 2011, and since then, he has left a major mark in the anime scene. His music style is an acquired taste for some, but for me who’s an emo at heart,...

When you watch Bungo Stray Dogs it’s easy to get sucked into the super abilities, surprising plot twists and charisma of the characters. Many of those characters are loose allusions to different literary figures from around the world such as F. Scott Key Fitzgerald and Osamu Dazai. It makes sense that an anime series that makes nods to various authors and poets would have quality lines sprinkled throughout; whether it be a character sharing their unique life philosophy or just waxing poetic because it sounds cool and profound. I may not have captured all of them, but here’s a list of some of the best quotes from Bungo Stray Dogs ! Atsushi Nakajima Quotes “People need to be told they’re worthy of being alive by someone else or they can’t go on.” Before Atsushi joined the Armed Detective Agency, he was isolated and neglected in an orphanage...

Since Metallic Rouge was announced at Fuji TV Anime Lineup Presentation 2023, it was clear that the new anime series from the prestigious Bones studio would be an emotive way to commemorate the first 25 years of the company made by ex-key members of Sunrise Studio (now Bandai Namco Filmworks). Most anime enthusiasts know Bones for series like My Hero Academia , Fullmetal Alchemist (both adaptations), Bungo Stray Dogs , Mob Psycho 100 and movies like Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop and Josee, the Tiger and the Fish . Voices That Bring Anime to Life: Celebrating the Best Anime Voice Actors of All Time ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
Japan takes its anime voice actors very seriously to the point where they have special voice acting academies and schools to train them to master their art completely. This is exactly why these professionals are so versatile and have such natural, golden voices. Some Dub actors tend to exaggerate and overact as a way to compensate for the inconsistency in translations and syncing. Native voice actors retain the ‘authenticity’ that dubs lack.
The authenticity of the subs is attributed to the voice actors’ talent and how natural they are with their jobs. Here are some of the best Japanese anime voice actors of all time.

The past story this time deals with Rampo, how he got to know Fukuzawa and how he ended up in the Armed Detective Agency. The three episodes arc mostly focuses on a specific case revolving around a stage play, which is eventually revealed as much more complicated than it initially seemed. The most interesting part, however, is seeing Rampo in his beginnings, being a truly imbalanced individual on the border of sociopathy, particularly because he could not understand that the people around him cannot realize and understand as much as he does. To build upon the compelling first season, which introduced a formidable new adversary in the Guild and unveiled Osamu's surprising past as an executive member of the Port Mafia, the creators of “Bungo Stray Dogs” choose to rewind the narrative, delving into Osamu's backstory before progressing with the central storyline. The result is excellent once more, also because the second season takes a rather darker, more mature-oriented approach to the story.
