Jana Kramer got candid with Tiger Woods' former mistress Rachel Uchitel on her and husband Michael Caussin's podcast, Whine Down. The former One Tree Hill star has long been open about how her marriage to Michael has been tainted due to his infidelity. The couple has worked through these issues in their relationship and even published the book The Good Fight: Wanting to Leave, Choosing to Stay, and the Powerful Practice for Loving Faithfully together about their journey. However, on the pair's Jan. 17 episode of their podcast, Jana admitted she still "hates" Rachel, who appeared in the HBO documentary Tiger about the golfer's fall...

Hollywood loves character-driven stories with a meteoric rise, a dramatic fall and the ultimate redemption. Tinsel Town is going to love HBO’s Tiger Woods documentary, and so will viewers — and it’s only going to take two minutes to hook you.
“Tiger,” from directors Matthew Heineman and Matt Hamachek, has an excellent opening scene. The cold open combines never-before-seen footage from Eldrick “Tiger” Woods’ dad, Earl, speaking glowingly about his boy at the Haskins Collegiate Awards Banquet with a childhood Tiger making sure “daddy” just saw his brilliant iron shot from the fairway. Earl’s audio continues over a signature Woods win at The Masters, and then ultimately, laid on top of police-station footage from Tiger’s 2017 DUI arrest.
Yeah, it’s been a wild 45 years.
Heineman and Hamachek told TheWrap they first read about Earl Woods’ proud-papa Haskins speech in Gary Smith’s 1996 Sports Illustrated article, “The Chosen One.

We can't stop watching the new HBO documentary Tiger, which outlines Tiger Woods's rise to fame and the ups and downs of his success - from reaching near perfection in the game to battling his demons outside of the course. Interviews with Woods's high school sweetheart Dina Gravell-Parr play an integral part in the documentary's analysis, bringing in firsthand information about who Woods was as a teenager and how that might have led to who he is today. It's no secret that Woods has a fraught relationship with his father, Earl, who propelled him to success while also inhibiting him from having a "normal" life, but Dina's comments further cement the kind of pressure Woods has felt throughout his entire life.

Tiger, the new HBO documentary about golfing legend Tiger Woods's life, gives us an inside look into the often enigmatic athlete's personality, childhood, and career. Jaw-dropping in its depictions of Woods's relationship with his father, the backlash after his cheating scandal, his chronic pain and resulting opioid addiction, and his struggles with fame and pressure, the documentary is making waves within the sports community and beyond. As a living legend known by many as the greatest golfer of all time (just second to Jack Nicklaus in major championships), it is fascinating to finally get the chance to know the human behind the mythology. That being said, if you're wondering whether Woods participated in or approved the documentary, he definitely did not. In fact, in all probability, he does not approve or support it.

While honestly not being the biggest sports fan, especially when it comes to professional golf, one player in particular quickly became a household name and that is Tiger Woods. Even if you have never followed a game of golf in your life, you have most certainly heard the name Tiger Woods and how he came to dominate the sport at such a young age, but as we have learned by watching HBO’s new two-part documentary “Tiger” that domination certainly came with a hefty price. As quickly as one can rise, they can fall just as fast and things can get ugly very quickly! HBO’s documentary is based upon the book “Tiger” written by Armen Keteyian and Jeff Benedict. Keteyian is also one of the executive producers for the HBO two-part series. The series immediately delves into Tiger’s relationship with his father Earl Woods, who was without a...

One of my newest obsessions from the last few months has become Apple TV+’s series Servant, which first debuted in late 2019, and now the second season is set to kick off later this week exclusively on the streaming platform. Servant stars Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell, Nell Tiger Free, and Rupert Grint, and is centered around a family in crisis who is joined by a mysterious nanny who upends their lives in unexpected ways. Executive producers on Servant include M. Night Shyamalan, Tony Basgallop, Ashwin Rajan, Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black, and Steve Tisch.
During the press day for Servant season 2, Daily Dead had the opportunity to speak with both Grint and Free about their experiences working on the series, and they discussed their thoughts on being immersed in the show’s mysteries and putting the puzzle pieces of Servant’s storyline together for themselves. Part 1 of HBO’s Tiger Woods documentary, “Tiger,” hooked 639,000 total viewers across all platforms on Sunday.
That’s not amazing, but it is better than par for the course. The 639,000 total viewers mark the best performance for an HBO Sports doc since Bill Simmons’ “Andre the Giant” walked through the curtain back in April 2018.
The “Tiger” tally includes all platforms — so yes, streaming is counted here — and a TV encore. A spokesperson for HBO estimated there have been “about 15” HBO Sports titles in the genre between the two docs.
Part 2 of “Tiger” premieres this coming Sunday on HBO and HBO Max. Like the Part 1 debut, it will face competition about as stiff as it gets in the form of the primetime NFL Playoffs.

Netflix may have canceled a much number higher of original shows than usual in an effort to cut costs amid the Coronavirus pandemic, but compared to the downturn that’s stricken the theatrical industry and shows no signs of relenting anytime soon, the streaming service is in incredibly good shape.
There might’ve been a couple of controversies along the way, but 2020 was the company’s biggest year ever in terms of audience viewership, with subscriber numbers rocketing across all the major platforms as people spent a lot more time at home. In fact, seven of Netflix’s Top 10 most-watched original movies ever were released between March and December of last year, with the television side of things proving just as successful.

Tiger Woods’s story was easy to read as the most inspiring in American sports until the very moment it became among the most depressing. On one side of the pivot point of November 2009 sits a life lived in public as an athlete bound for glory from his earliest days, treated as a Messianic figure by his overweening father and, shortly thereafter, as a culture-shifting superstar by the media. On the other, after Woods’s double life was suddenly and publicly ripped open, sits scandalous ignominy that, as Woods’s preternatural athletic gifts slipped away with age, could no longer merely be clawed through with athletic achievement.
These two halves to Woods’s life so far form the two parts of HBO’s excellent new documentary “Tiger,” a project that brings together an unusual serious-mindedness with as rare a gift of pacing. This series makes elegant and understated arguments about celebrity,...

On April 14, 2019, a wicked Chicago ice storm swept over the McCormick Convention Center greeting Jedis with their lightsabers, princesses in their cinnamon bun wigs, and Sith Lords, some with what sounded like asthma, at the “Star Wars” celebration. About 860 miles separate Chicago from Augusta, Georgia; nevertheless, two marquee events stood still.

"What has Tiger done to Tiger Woods?" HBO has revealed the full-length trailer for an epic biopic doc titled Tiger, described as a monumental and definitive look at the life of golf legend Tiger Woods. The doc will be released as a two-part "series" premiering together in January. Co-directed by doc filmmakers Matthew Hamachek & Matthew Heineman. Tiger is driven by never-before-seen footage and revealing interviews with those who know the golfer best, including his former caddy and close friend, Steve Williams; golf legend and six-time major champion Sir Nick Faldo; Earl Woods' friend & biographer, Pete McDaniel; Tiger's first true love, Dina Parr; as well as Rachel Uchitel, the woman at the center of the sex scandal that forever altered Tiger’s world, breaking her silence with her first-ever sit-down interview about their relationship. HBO says "Heineman and Hamachek provide viewers a definitively nuanced portrait of Eldrick 'Tiger' Woods.

And in the case of Tiger Woods, that sort of fame led to one of the most shocking falls from grace and comebacks in sports history, which is documented in the new doc, “Tiger.”

HBO has shared the very revealing trailer for its two-part documentary series on Tiger Woods.
“Tiger” charts the rise, fall and comeback of arguably golf’s greatest player of all time. (You can chill about Jack’s major title wins — we said “arguably.”)
Watch the “Tiger” trailer above. In the sneak peek, golf legend and six-time major champion Sir Nick Faldo asked, “What has Tiger done to Tiger Woods?”
Indeed, we all wondered the same thing as we watched the golf phenom fall hard from the pedestal he was (probably unfairly) placed upon by his game and the media.
But that’s not even the best quote from the trailer — that honor goes to a line from Robert Lusetich, author of “Unplayable: An Inside Account of Tiger’s Most Tumultuous Season.”
“The problem with conquering the world, is that the world will want its revenge,” Lusetich said.

Anders Thomas Jensen’s action comedy “Riders of Justice,” starring Mads Mikkelsen, will open the 50th International Film Festival Rotterdam. The festival will be staged in two parts this year: the first, in a hybrid format, running Feb. 1-7, and the second, hopefully a physical event, June 2-6. HBO Max dropped a teaser Thursday revealing some big titles — both film and TV series — coming to the WarnerMedia-owned streaming service in the new year. And along with promoting the slew of 2021 films that will land on the platform the same day that they are released in theaters, like “Wonder Woman 1984,” the spot included first looks at HBO Max’s long-awaited “Gossip Girl” reboot and HBO’s “The Nevers.”
Created by “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” mastermind Joss Whedon, who recently exited the upcoming sci-fi drama, “The Nevers” is set in Victorian England and follows a varied group of Londoners who suddenly manifest abnormal abilities. The “Gossip Girl” is described as a “reimagining of the iconic YA series for a new generation” from the original series’ creators.
Though the 2021 preview included no footage from the yet-to-be-taped unscripted “Friends” reunion special, it did tease it as something to look forward to next year.

Time and time again during this year’s pandemic, movie studios have had to make the best of a bad situation. HBO Max’s list of new releases for December 2020 comes along with the most extreme example yet.
WarnerMedia undoubtedly had big plans for Wonder Woman 1984 when it scheduled it for a holiday release last year. After moving it to the summer, however, the conglomerate had to delay its theatrical release time and time again. Now HBO Max is the lucky winner of the saga, as it gets to premiere the long-awaited sequel on its servers on Dec. 25.
While Wonder Woman 1984 is definitely the headline this month, there are some other intriguing streaming options for HBO Max in December. The month plays host to a whole host of high-powered documentaries like Heaven’s Gate: The Cult of Cults (Dec. 3), Alabama Snake (Dec. 9), and the Tiger Woods documentary Tiger (Dec.

Can Popcorn come from behind to win the coveted Golden Mask trophy on Season 4 of “The Masked Singer”? After the Sun blazed her own path into the Super Six by earning the most votes in the Group A finals, the salty snack joined her by proving the heat only makes her pop harder. Popcorn took out the Snow Owls by belting out Bryan Adams‘ “(Everything I Do) I Do it For You” in the season’s first smackdown. Now the buttery diva is one step closer to the sweet taste of victory.
Popcorn made it clear from the beginning that she has the chops to go the distance. After belting out “What About Us” by Pink in Episode 1, panelist Robin Thicke said she gave the most outstanding performance of the night. In Episode 3 we saw Popcorn slow things down with a spine-tingling performance of “Falling” by Harry Styles. In Episode...

It’s almost confusing to know how to feel about Tiger Woods and his upcoming documentary, but walking into it without any expectations might be the best bet since otherwise, it feels as though too much personal bias could really make a person think one way or another about the show and it’s also possible that this could make a person hate it or love it too much. But there’s going to be a story here that we may or may not have heard in the papers and the tabloids since the idea of Tiger’s father making it clear that his

The Irish animated film “Wolfwalkers” and the Covid-19 documentary “76 Days” won the top awards at the AFI Fest 2020, a largely virtual film festival that ran from Oct. 15-22.
“Wolfwalkers,” which deals with Irish fables and was directed by Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart from the Cartoon Saloon animation house, won the audience award as the festival’s best narrative feature, a prize that typically goes to a live-action film.
“76 Days,” which was filmed, sometimes surreptitiously, in hospitals in Wuhan, China, in the early days of the pandemic, won the audience prize for documentary.
Jury prizes went to the live-action film “Pillars” and the animated feature “Tiger and Ox.”
Because its screenings took place for the most part on a virtual platform, this year’s AFI Fest attracted the largest audience in the festival’s 34-year history. The festival showed 55 features, 33 shorts and three episodic programs.
